The Mavs just completely fall apart when they play the Spurs. They're just not built to compete with the Spurs.

It's looking like a 5 game series at most.
I'm not even sure we'll get a game, but we have lost 9 straight to them.

We have to get at least 1 before they get to 13, right?

As usual I spoke to soon and the Mavs have fought back.

The Mavs just don't have the foot speed to chase the Spurs shooters off the line and their rotations have been iffy against the Spurs pick & rolls and screen rolls.

If Dirk & Ellis have great series I can see the Mavs winning a couple of games.

Held the Spurs to 43 points in the half.....can't complain about that.

The problem with the Mavs all year isn't hanging with the big boys, it's closing them out in the 4th.

Stupid goaltending from Wright.

That hook shot from Duncan was going far wide of the basket and we gift them the 2 points.

Uh oh.....it's the dreaded double digit 4th quarter Mavs lead.

Right on cue.

Mavs go up 10, then immediately give up the 8-0 run.

And just like that, the lead is gone.

Goodnight Mavs.

I think I'd rather have the Mavs trailing in the 4th than to ever build a double digit lead, because every time they do, they instantly go to total crap and they fold.

It's unreal.

The Mavs went stone cold in the final 8 minutes. Not a single FG.

I thought they should have put in Calderon. He hit a few big shots in the 3rd quarter.

If you go back and look at all of the 4th quarters against playoff teams where they established double digit leads, you will find this exact same outcome every time.

It's like the second that they go up 10-plus, they instantly stop playing.

All 4 times this year vs the Clippers they built double digit leads, but only once did they win, and even in that game, they went ice cold after they built the lead.

Damn...Josh McRoberts is much different than he was at Duke.

I wonder if the Bulls would have won this game if Rose was at 80-90%.

That Wizards front line dominated game one. The Wizards are the more talented team, IMO, but I think the Bulls find a way to win the series.

If you're the Rockets, you cannot lose game 1 at home when you lead by double digits in the 4th then watch as both Aldridge and Lopez foul out in OT.

I really don't like their shot selection at times. They settle for the 3 far too much.

Great first game in what is probably the best matchup of the first round.

I went to bed after Howard hit the FTs with about 4 minutes left and it being an 11 point game.

Very surprised to wake up and see that Houston choked the game away.

I'm watching the replay now to see what I missed.

Hack-a-Howard got Portland back into the game I see.

Damian Lillard and Aldridge dominated the Rockets down the stretch of regulation as well.
