I'd have cranked the heat up about 15-20 degrees. And 12 1/2 hours is a ridiculous amount of time for 4 lbs of pork. What type of grill are you working with @boozeman?

I stopped watching a few years ago then ended up watching the two seasons that I missed when the stay at home orders were in place back in March/April.

Barnwell: NFL teams most likely to improve in 2020 - Why the Cowboys, Lions should win more games

I like D-Law but I don't trust Smith because he's been out of football too long and he didn't make much of an impact the last few seasons he did play.

I was just joking with your sensitive ass. Untwist your panties. And compensation isn't the same as being paid CASH. Which is what I was talking about initially. No one has ever argued that college athletes aren't being compensated for playing.

Barnwell: NFL teams most likely to improve in 2020 - Why the Cowboys, Lions should win more games

If McCarthy can just master the basic decisions, an area where Garrett struggled too often, I think we'll win our fair share of close games.

Barnwell: NFL teams most likely to improve in 2020 - Why the Cowboys, Lions should win more games

Jason Garrett had the market cornered when it came to those negative "first team in 30 years to <<BLANK>>" situations.

Looks that way. Makes you wonder what the hell changed in the last 72 hours because they were all adjusting their schedules as if this was a definite go. Then all of a sudden they pull the rug from under us.

So assuming only three conferences end up playing. There's no 4-team CFB playoff this year, right? I assume all we're going to get are conference championships.

Being paid and being allowed to sleep and eat somewhere for free are two separate things. Hell, when I was in the military I ate and had a dorm room provided to me free of charge for 4 years but I still needed to be paid. I get what you're saying but that scholarship isn't going to pay for a...

It's trending that way. I seem to remember a handful of states passing laws that allowed their student athletes to make money off their likeness. If that ends up holding true, you'd think all 50 states and the NCAA would have to follow suit otherwise you're looking at a pretty lopsided...

No, as far as I know the only players who decided to opt out are those who are already draft eligible and want to protect themselves.

I knew someone would bring up this argument. You know there are other students who are on athletic and academic scholarships, right? And those students aren't being asked to come in and place themselves at risk of contracting the virus. Students on full academic scholarships who are also...

Eh. I don't think the issue is providing a 100% risk free environment. I think the issue is the players have no voice and have very little say in the matter compared to the NFL and other professional sport leagues. If there were a players union looking out for them and they were being paid...

Plus the aesthetics of it make the colleges look they're placing money above the health of student athletes who aren't even being paid. It's a terrible look to say it's too risky to have students on campus for classes but then in the next breath say that it's okay to play football. Especially...

Plus it's not that uncommon for something like that to happen. There are only so many jobs to go around in the NFL so there are a lot of vets who have the mindset that it's not their job to help young players get better. It's about self-preservation and not wanting to help someone take food...
