DING DING DING we have a winnah!

Archer: Jerry Jones confident in Cowboys' running back situation

Pipe dreams. They think chuck and duck trumps run-first any day. They won't be drafting a RB or a QB in the early rounds. Flukes happen. They could conceivably get another 12-4 if everything fell right and kept doing so. Of course, i wouldn't lay or take any odds on that.

Archer: Jerry Jones confident in Cowboys' running back situation

A aberration, just like the 12-4 record was. We went run-heavy to protect Tony's freshly butchered back.

    Sturm's take on Romo's health...

It was actually better than last year, playing about 100 fewer snaps.

Archer: Jerry Jones confident in Cowboys' running back situation

You're saying all common sense stuff we all know, that jason does not know. Exactly like how when we run play action, we don't bother trying to sell it. Like Brad Sham says while doing the play by play, "Romo shows him the ball" we don't bother selling fakes because jason believes they don't...

Archer: Jerry Jones confident in Cowboys' running back situation

There's nothing at all they've shown, to make me think that. You said it yourself - we really didn't start trying to smash mouth last year until Dunbar went down. It's not in jason's makeup, to play smash mouth and it ain't the plan.

Archer: Jerry Jones confident in Cowboys' running back situation

It's not like this offense features the run anyway. 2014 was a product of need, they wanted to limit danger to Tony and his freshly fish-gutted back. Now that he is "healthy" and we have 4-5 more years out of him, we'll be back to 300 or so total RB carries among 3-4 backs.

    Sturm's take on Romo's health...

I've been calling him "Time Bomb Tony" at least since 2014.

Archer: Would a runner make sense for the Cowboys at No. 4?

Only if they planned on actually running the ball more than 260-300 times. They don't.

JJT: Tony Romo won't be threatened if Dallas Cowboys take QB in first round

I'll grant all of that but, where is this so-called "narrative" on Romo? Have you ever heard anyone say anything like that?

JJT: Tony Romo won't be threatened if Dallas Cowboys take QB in first round

So, is he trying to create a narrative, or just lying his ass off about there being one?

JJT: Tony Romo won't be threatened if Dallas Cowboys take QB in first round

Where has this EVER been said, anywhere?

Archer: New year, same running back need for Cowboys

Running the ball 400 times just isn't "sexy" for Garrett. If they'd had a sudden epiphany that a dominating running game floats all boats including the defense, they would have made sure to keep Murray and barring that, would have done whatever needed to get Gurley or one of the other blue chip...

Archer: New year, same running back need for Cowboys

Sure didn't surprise me. I said all along they would not draft a RB. The only way it surprised anyone is those were people who think Dallas is serious about running the ball. They're not.

NFL analyst: 'Just about everybody that I respect' says the Cowboys should draft for

Drafting a QB at #4 this year doesn't secure jack, especially with this "development" coaching we have.

Garrett on Hardy's Cowboys future: He's a free agent

I even named one possible. He realized what a puss garrett is.

Garrett on Hardy's Cowboys future: He's a free agent

Okay well, it was what, four right off, when he was really trying? Then not much else not even any pressures, the rest of the way. he didn't come close to matching the hype, or the production at Carolina.

Archer: Cowboys will play it close to vest in free agency

But, all of those also had a quality, consistent pass rush. Even our putrid Legion of Boobs secondary could be made to look decent, if we had even some semblance of a consistent pass rush.

Stephen Jones says the Cowboys would take franchise QB over impact player at 4

In context, it's "Moore and a FA signing." Everyone knows they cannot sign free agents as yet. Because they are proven stupid.
