Yea I could easily see him being our best center by this time next year, very fluid movement.
Farniok did nicely as well.

Collins is not running out of gas, he is making a statement.

Tolbert dropping a 4th down ball that hit him right in the hands (and then bobbling a 3rd down ball that he ended up bringing in) was...not great.

I expect Smith to have his growing pains and overaggressive penalties but we can't have our WR2 for the first month running around with the yips. I'm just going to chalk it up to first game jitters and hope he gets better from here.

And the fact that they didn't even bother to suit up Noah Brown tells me that he's pretty much locked in as our WR3 until Gallup comes back. I actually feel better about him than Washington since there's presumably some good chemistry between him and Dak, but it's still a joke that they are straight up ignoring several clear available upgrades.

I dunno, quit as head coach?

The guy had a damn incubator in Green Bay.

He is not equipped to deal with the Dallas head coach position.

It is high prestige.

Look at who held the title for the ten years previously.

Oh.
Definition of obtuse

a: lacking sharpness or quickness of sensibility or intellect : INSENSITIVE, STUPIDHe is too obtuse to take a hint.
b: difficult to comprehend : not clear or precise in thought or expressionIt is also, unfortunately, ill-written, and at times obtuse and often trivial.

They should just save time and start making The Nooch's HOF bust right now.

I do not think this Golston thing inside is going to work out.

He was completely invisible.

Even a guy like Williams who didn't do much to the naked eye had some decent bull rushes, pushing OT's back into the QB's lap a few times, but Golston was just flopping around like a fish.

Yeah, almost seems like they made him worse making him gain weight and change positions.

He never really did anything last year though and I think the idea was to try to find a role for him given that we have quite a bit of depth at edge rusher at the moment, while not much on the interior.

The interesting thing to me tonight was seeing who didn't play, not so much the big name guys who obviously weren't going to play, but guys like Osa, Noah Brown, LVE, Dorance Armstrong and Donovan Wilson.

It really shows where they're at in the pecking order, Osa in particular considering that Gallimore and Hill played around a half or so.

Osa is our starting 3T without a doubt. And probably a good one.

On Tyler Smith, the focus of course is going to be on the 2 penalties because that fits the neat narrative about him right now, but I feel pretty good about what I saw.

The athleticism and movement ability for his size is obvious and all that's really missing is refined technique to unlock all of his natural ability. I guess there's a scenario where he never puts it all together and only ends up an average player but I don't think that's the most likely scenario.

From what I can tell his biggest issue aside from generally not playing with consistent technique is his desire to move guys against their will on every snap. He hasn't learned yet that he doesn't need to keep trying to bury guys every time, that sometimes just being in the way is enough to make a play successful.

He wants to drive opponents to the ground every chance he gets and sometimes that will draw flags in borderline situations, i.e. his first holding penalty.

All I know is, the guy has Pro Bowl talent and it's just a matter of getting him to play with better technique/awareness. There's no excuse to even consider starting McGovern (who got knocked around a good bit tonight) just because you're afraid of mental mistakes/penalties from Smith.

These coaches get paid millions to coach, so coach the guy with the sky high ceiling instead of starting a guy who doesn't have it.

You know, you see teams like the Ravens that play to win exhibitions?

Us?

We pride ourselves in not scoring on offense in the preseason.

I did not expect Ridgeway to play.

And he has and honestly, he looks like he is pouting or something.

Very disappointing.
