Dude, grew up watching Eddie "5-7" LeBaron, so cool that silliness, hell saw our Cowboys when they were in the western conference. Seen more Cowboy games than anyone here.

You are correct in this, Forbes only measures in absolute terms whatever money was paid this year.

The first year of NFL contracts will thus include the first year salary, roster bonuses, and the entire signing bonus of the full contract.

NFL accounting spreads the signing bonus across the four year contract while Forbes simply counts whatever monies you received in a year period.

So next year, Dak will drop off the list of highest paid athletes entirely while those baseball and basketball players will stay.

You've definitely seen more games than me. But I'm also very comfortable saying I've watched more games of Dak based on your assessment.

Every starting QB that gets a new contract gets paid market value. Which generally means that they set a new high or are paid within the top 5 at their position. It’s been happening for over a decade now.

that would be 32 starting qbs making 40+ thats for every top quality frontline starter get the market money.. top 10 typically ..
