He should watch film of Devante Parker doing a number on Gilmore in WK 17 last year. It can be done.

people will complain about the bun you put a hotdog on.

I was not a big fan of the trade with Cooper, but hes here now and that doesnt mean im forcing or telling anyone to like him and i will like them. lets not be petty, but hes here now, we have to accept it. no need to insult or waste time on certain aspects. i am hoping, as a player we support him, and root for him to do good.

hoping for a player to fail is like being on a plane and rooting for the pilot to crash.

hes not a loud mouth diva player and he probably doesnt assert himself on other players. he plays his game and tries to help the team win.

the number 1 is gone, hes not getting younger, KM really has to put Cooper in the matches he can win. when Cooper is on his game, hes really really good and when hes off, hes lame. KM has to make the adjustments.

heres to hoping our staff if WAY better than the last one.

The contract they signed him to is basically 2 years/34 million, if they want to get out of it after two years he'll just count 6 million against the cap, while saving 16 million, so is it really that big a deal?

He's a bit inconsistent, and I suspect a bit soft when it comes to playing in inclement weather, but he's still a top 10 WR who has come through in some big moments.

People have recency bias and just want to remember the last thing they saw, which was the abortion of a game in Philly, which was just an encapsulation of the abortion of a season as a whole. The team was a complete mess so it's hard for me to single out Cooper, we'll see what happens the next year or two under a real staff.
It really is, in looking at his gamelogs and stats from last year, they're actually very good.

Despite the ups and downs, he still finished 8th in the league in receiving yards, a mere 40 yards away from 4th place. He also had more touchdown receptions on the year than Julio Jones. Ahead of Deandre Hopkins in both yards and touchdowns.

Perspective.

Tell us about it, Marcus.
That's what I always thought, that he was really injured last year. But what threw me was the way the team didn't seem to back him up, how they kept insisting he was fine, etc. I get that you can't let injuries be an excuse, but it's okay to admit after the season that he was really hurt, and no one with the team did that (that I heard).

I didn't think they could admit that a player was injured and playing anyway. That's how Belichick gets away with playing around with the injury report.

If we had let him go, the cheering section would have been echoing Ryan's points. But he's back, so we have to justify it. No sale.

The "no sale" for me would have been using your 2019 1st round pick for a year and a half rental.
  1. Total miss on Taco and that 1st round pick in 2017
  2. Injury issues putting your 2018 1st rounder in doubt
  3. 2019 1st round pick used for 23-24 games at best?
That looks far worse.

dont worry guys, the draft will give us new pieces to complain about. im sure not everyone is going to like the draft.

breakdown of the draft

if you hated garrett: YES this draft was awesome, see.

if you dont like McClay: ho hum, McClays fingers and taint is all over it.

if you liked Garrett and mad hes gone: worst draft eva.

JJs take : needs more Johnny Walker

die hard cowboy fans: SUPER BOWL BABY!!!!!!!!! THIS IS OUR YEAR

realists: MM better have a freaking plan.

fans from other teams: Cowboys are stoopid.

fans of the draft and not much else: dear lords, they should have taken another RB, hes the BPA PEOPLE THE BPA, a difference maker, hes a game changer and whatever buzz words the media makes me say, take the BPA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good fans: wait 3 years, give it time.

immediate fans: damn it, every player sucks because they cant get the numbers i want. OMG the war daddy cant get a sack on his first play, he sucks. Why cant our WR get a TD every time hes thrown at.

media: everybody Dallas got sucks.

also media: the Browns, Detriot and Cardinals are going places baby.

Not even close. Pretty much everybody on this board for the last six months has been all for resigning him.

Was anybody against it, besides you? I don't remember.

Because they didn't want to flush a first rounder so quickly, not because he was elite or "deserved" $20M a year.
