I was hoping I would get to dig it.

Oregon is going to be awfully full of themselves when they walk into the Red Raider front 7 den.

That’s what I’m afraid of.

Last year they got cocky and got beat down by an Ohio State team they had defeated earlier in the year.

Hopefully Lanning doesn’t let that happen again

I hope not. The last thing the NCAA needs is more encouragement to favor the top conference teams.
I mean it's fine but James Madison is a freaking team people schedule as a cupcake on their schedule. There was just no reason for them to be in this. But yeah, I also like to see teams have a chance that aren't your typical Alabama types. Like give some different schools a chance at least. But this feels a little too far.

I don't mind making sure that you have teams outside of the SEC/Big 10 in the playoff but it's absolutely ridiculous for teams like Tulane and JMU to be in it over BYU, Utah, Vanderbilt and yes, Texas.

Like yea, I get it that the NCAA has backed itself into a corner as they usually do and are scared that college football is about to become a two conference sport (SEC/Big 10) with everyone else left out, but putting the equivalent of a mid-tier team like South Carolina or Nebraska in the playoff isn't the answer.

And I'm not even certain Tulane/JMU could hang with someone like South Carolina/Nebraska.
