If he's gone, yes, it'd be better than sneaking into the playoffs with these sorts of defensive performances and bringing him back.

Because of the time. You know you need two scores and one of them can be a FG. Take the 3 early and theoretically leave some time for a TD if you recover the onsides kick. Honestly I think I would have tried it a bit earlier than they did.

He has a built in excuse with the whole Parsons and Diggs fiascos, not to mention Kneeland’s death

I do think there's enough there for Jerry to convince himself of the thing he wants to do all along.

I guess we'll just have to hope Schottenheimer has the balls to push for a change.

Our defense towards the end of 2020 was significantly better than this and McCarthy still got rid of his boy Nolan, although he wasn't in Jerry's family picture.

Diggs will be released, picked up by New England, and turn in an awesome season

Dallas will pay more in dead money than The Patriots will in salary

I look at it as go for the TD while you're in range to do it. As opposed to getting the ball back and needing to go 50 for a TD. You score a TD here and you only need a few yards for the field goal attempt.

But what do I know, it didn't matter anyway.
