Seems a bit problematic that you have a player so fucking dumb that you have to coach him to get his fucking arm up far enough for a valid fair catch.

I guess they cant blow the whistle until he actually catches it just in case of a botched catch. Then he is already running.

Can’t blow the whistle when the returner signals. What if there is a muffed punt, which would be a live ball.

A lot more plays they are told to let it play through them discuss to get it correct. The flag was thrown and then after the play there was a discussion to get it correct.

But my question is so you call a fair catch, you catch the ball, no whistle is blown. Do you stand still while defenders are still going 100%? Or are you allowed to move? Like what constitutes running with the football if the whistle wasn't blown? Until a whistle is blown it's still a live play?

Murray is so out of place at times that it looks abnormal, like he's throwing the game.

I don't think he is but it shows how horrible he is, Wilson must really be cooked to not get more than about 20ish snaps over him.

He's one of the worst defensive starters to come through Dallas in quite some time.

He's absolutely awful.

Not tough enough at either the LB or safety spots. When the DL is facing an extra blocker for several plays you have to fill in the gaps as a back seven. It’s maybe your top job. Donovan Wilson, Kenneth Murray, our corners just aren’t flexible enough to both cover and be physical when the time comes. I have hope for Revel, and give him something of a pass as it’s his fourth NFL game and also fourth back from a year long recovery. Murray plays comically out of position at times. The team needs to get a ton more physical on the back seven.

Also could have used Clowney’s athleticism and power.

Offensively we were way too tentative in our attack until the wheels started falling off down by 11. We needed to be a lot more aggressive a lot earlier. A big part of our offense is how scary we look. When we attack it sets defenders back on their heels and makes the other offense feel pressure to push themselves to match.

If we are putzing around, then the other team can send some plus linemen looks at us like Detroit did last night. That lets them possess the ball and maybe break plays open with short passes.

Also, we can't turn the ball over on the road and expect to win. Pickens half-assed body screening on the first pass of the 3rd quarter resulted in a terrible pick off a deflection.

I agree that our pass rush wasn't exactly the issue, Detroit clearly made a concerted effort to go play action with extra blockers, the issue was that they knew exactly how to beat out shitty coverages.

The big plays were mostly in-breaking routes in the middle third in soft spots in the zone and quick hitters to Gibbs.

LB is the biggest issue personnel wise and the general lack of athleticism and explosive downhill players in the middle of the field (LB/S), outside of Overshown who probably isn't even fully 100%.
