It's like 50 in Oklahoma this time of year, I guess at night it could get into the 30's or upper 20's on a cold night.
Earlier this week there was snow and ice in OKC/Norman.

It's mostly the wind that gets you. 20MPH+ wind in central OK is very common. Aside from the wind affecting play on the field that wind chill will have 40 degrees feeling like 28.

Might be a good thing if they won.
Would be a great thing. I hope UGA wins big.

If the NCAA is going to be too gutless to put more rules in place, maybe the courts can do it for them.

I dont think you have to get rid of it. Just limit its use or go back to having to sit a year.
I should have said get rid of the transfer portal as it is right now.

You guys realize that TTU is only having the season they're having because of how the transfer portal and NIL is currently constructed right?

Rich oil alum who just threw a bunch of money at the portal?

You think you'd be competing at this level if things were how they were 10-20 years ago when the blueboods took all the top recruits, who generally stayed at those blueblood schools for 2-3 years?

Yes, an advantage that every team in the nation has. I get tired of hearing this. All we did was what the "big" programs" have been doing for decades. And, I'm still a proponent for going back to how the portal used to be.

I don't really care one way or the other, although I wouldn't say it's an advantage every team has. In theory any team can do it of course but there aren't more than maybe 10-15 teams with that sort of dedication from rich alums.

At any rate, I just found it amusing that you're complaining about the current landscape (which I agree with) but that the current landscape is the primary reason for your school's historic season.

But I appreciate having a principled view of it regardless of that.

Good luck to your Red Raiders today. I am still fond of the Big Twelve conference. I have been a fan throughout the years no matter of the number designation.

One thing I find especially telling of the current college football landscape (i.e. extreme greed running rampant) is how many of these primetime games start like 15-20 minutes after the hour because they want to jam in as many fucking ads as possible.
