It is early and likely precautionary. Give him a few weeks he might bust out of those braces like Forrest Gump.
My guess is much like Overshown they are going to be careful at first and take their time bringing these guys back over the course of a few weeks of practice. I doubt either guy will be wearing those braces by the time they are activated. Because you can't play with one of those things unless you're a lineman.

Dang he's skinny.

Don’t think we match up well with Broncos. Best pass rush in league vs 2 dogshit OTs.

I don't think we're going to win so don't get me wrong, but I do think we match up well with them.

We're obviously going to have problems with their defensive line but the way Dak and the WRs are playing I think we can still score in the upper 20s, similar to what we did against Carolina or even NYG.

On the other hand, I don't think Denver's offense is that great so I think it's possible that even our defense stops them enough to make the game winnable.

I think the truly bad matchups for us are teams like Detroit that can tear our defense up so bad that even our offense won't be able to catch up.

I think this is about right, if this game was in Dallas I think we'd win as long as the defense didn't have one of their "historically bad" shit show performances (i.e. Giants, Packers, Panthers).

Being in Denver I think we should be in it but I think the offense will sputter one times too many on the road with the crowd noise behind their pass rush. If we can be +1/2 in turnovers we could definitely win, if we're -1/2 it's probably a 10ish point loss.

Turnovers could potentially swing this game either way.

My biggest concern is probably Payton, who often seems to have our number and is probably chomping at the bit to stick it to Jerry.

The one good thing is that I think we played a very similar offense last week in Washington.

Obviously they were down WR's and it was at home, but schematically they're similar with young QB's who rely on their legs a lot when easy reads aren't there, lots of schemed up throws, run fakes meant to open up easy passing windows, etc.

If Brandon Aubrey makes a 70-yard FG, Broncos of all teams should make him the highest paid K ever.

Was going to say the same thing about the crowd. I'd feel a lot better if this were at home -- just think a young guy like Nix would be more likely to crack if he got behind on the road vs at home.

Also kind of worried about our tackles vs their edge guys. Saw Guyton pop up on the injury list yesterday -- hope he's not starting that again.

But in the end, they still almost -- should have -- lost to the Giants, and our offense is much better than theirs. I read that Nix was pretty bad the first three quarters... might have to find that game somewhere to watch it.

I'm more fired up about this game than I have been in a long time, though. I love playing uncommon opponents like this on the road, especially when they have a grass field. Plus I can't stand Sean Payton anymore. Sure hope we can pull off the upset, and at least don't lay another huge egg.

This team hasn't shown me enough to be worried about how they matchup with any team. Just go out there and play your ass off and try to win. I don't really have any expectations of these guys until they show me beyond one game that they deserve to have those expectations. I'll watch the game and I hope I can enjoy it. That's about it.

At the end of the day they've played like shit their last 2 games after coming back to beat the Eagles on the road, where they were down 17-3 to begin with.

They barely hung on against the Jets 13-11 and then everybody knows what happened last week.

If they come out motivated and flying around because Payton has been up their ass all week after playing poorly the last few weeks, they could overwhelm us early. If they've been lulled into a sense of complacency by being on a 3-game win streak despite not playing well we're going to be in business.

Ultimately I don't think they're a significantly better team than us, but they do have a significant homefield advantage and one of the best defenses in the league, and that could be enough if our defense fucks around as they usually do.

But there's a very good chance that Denver comes out kind of flat given that they've won 3 in a row but haven't really played well.
