If we hold pat and manage to get Estime at the end of the 5th I'll call that a win. I like Estime. Not as much as the top tier, but I do think he can be a lead back.

Another RB that interests me is Isaiah Davis out of South Dakota State University. Small school, but he's a damn good RB. 6' 220lbs. Not great speed, but is pretty quick and nifty in the hole with good power.
Gore jr late or udfa

The next pick is so far away. Ali is a really good RB too. But it's like you have to cross off Wright, Allen, Ray Davis. Just so difficult to say who will be left. I really like Estime but am I going to watch 60 some picks counting the RBs as they go off the board?

It's always been there. I just choose not to go over the top retard like some do.
Every now and then it feels good.

From Walter Football:

Dallas Cowboys: Marist Liufau, LB, Notre Dame – A Grade
The Cowboys lost Leighton Vander Esch, so they had to find a new linebacker. Marist Liufau is a potential solid replacement, as he has terrific athleticism, speed, and upside. I thought he’d go earlier than this, perhaps even the second round, so I love the value.

Well, now I hope every joint in Wilson's body explodes simultaneously.

I have no idea who this chick is announcing the picks, but I gotta say, I prefer this to the dog and pony show. Parading people up to make picks gets old in a hurry. Hopefully they continue with her tomorrow.

PRESS CONFERENCE
McCarthy, Stephen, Jerruh, McClay

McCarthy: With 17 games now, can't have enough players along OL that play two positions

McClay: Kneeland is high motor, high effort. Physically talented to play at this level. Noticed him early on. The area scout brought Kneeland to our attention. Playing hard all the time. Ability to rush passer inside and outside. As hard as DLaw played at Boise State, that's what we thought of him. Greg Ellis said Kneeland reminds him of himself.

McCLay: Marist Liufau. He's a football player. The way he's used at Notre Dame, ability to rush passer off the edge. Can cover. the multiplicity of what he can do
Jerruh: High energy level. DLaw can run out of the stadium chasing someone. Both Kneeland and Liufau will add energy to the game

Jerruh: No RB, but draft's not over. We also are keenly interested in seeing what the future might look like with Zeke.

Press Conference...

McCarthy: With two additions in this draft, the competition inside OL and outside OL is what I'm looking for

Jerruh: I think we got the most out of the #24 pick, getting two OL. We weren't being coy in wanting OL. Deep OL draft and we took advantage of that with the great trade. If you were going to be in a long position, taylor knit to the potential of thse two players whether interior or outside, we were able to do that. These players have the position flex to take care of that. When I look at what you did with #24 to get the two lineman, if you wanna look at that, it's pretty good execution

McCarthy: I think we hit it with the OL. Both players have starter ability. I know for me personally, when you look at the season, the length of the season, the challenge is consecutive starts as a unit. I think we've given ourselves the depth. It'll be the most competitive OL room since I've gotten here.

Stephen: WE had opportunities with all three picks to go back into the 4th, but we didn't want to lose the players. Could've certainly gotten some extra picks in the 4th, bottom 4th or 5th. But with Marist, Beebe and Kneeland, we didn't want to chance losing them

Jerruh: I think we had 00:45 left on the clock for #24 when we decided on the Lions. Had four active trade options at the time.

Stephen: From communication around the league, we woudn't have seen Cooper Beebe had we traded down

McClay: Kneeland compared to DLaw, the same level of effort is comparable and one thing that attracted us. There's rush upside. Controlling the C gap cuz that motor's always going to be there.

I feel sick about RB. No offense to the LBer but this run game is going to be awful.
