Laugh all you want, but I don't think Brooks was as big a target as people claim. The way Jerry was going overboard gushing over him seemed too forced. I'm not saying Jerry is some kind of master manipulator, but I think he was just fucking around playing up to the obvious "local boy" that fit an obvious need for us.
