The banged up yet still immaculate Braves have proceeded to make both teams from last year's World Series their bitch. 4-0 vs Zona and Texas. About to make it 6-0 this this weekend.

It's a damn shame that I live in Georgia, over 2 hours from Atlanta, and yesterday's game on Apple TV was only the second game of the season that I was able to legally watch. All the other games that were on FOX, TBS, and ESPN+ have been blacked out, so I've had to use shady streaming sites to watch the Braves.

I was hoping Bally would be dead by now.

Why are they blacked out?

Because Bally Sports is the regional TV provider for the Braves. So you have to have a TV provider that carries Bally Sports or you have to subscribe directly to Bally for $20 per month. YouTube TV and Hulu don't offer Bally Sports in their packages.

I'm fine with the normal games being blacked out but blacking out nationally televised games is ridiculous, IMO. The Braves played Houston in Houston on TBS earlier this week and that game was blacked out for me. :doh

Sometimes I think MLB really hates their fans.

Oh, subscribing to MLB.tv isn't an answer either. I was willing to subscribe to the MLB package to watch Braves games.

Nope.

Blackout restrictions still apply. :jerk

Oh, I get it. That's why I got Fubo, because they do have Bally (and are generally better for sports) than those. Maybe check it out? I don't think it costs any more than Hulu.

As for blacking out the national games, I really don't understand that one at all. I didn't realize that was a thing. Is that only when there isn't a sellout? Is that supposed to be only in the Atlanta area but the radius is too big (so it includes you)?

No it doesn't have anything to do with attendance. I believe it's just a blanket MLB rule. The Braves sell out regularly and the games are still being blacked out for people who are within the Bally Sports South viewing region, which encompasses about 6 states across the south.

@1bigfan13

Yeah, Fubo is the way to go.

The only channels you won't have access to that I can think you would want are the Turner networks.

Outside of that, I'm sure you'll have everything else that you and your wife want to watch.
