I don't know if he is talking trading as much as he is talking about churning the bottom of the roster. He mentioned trading guys out for guys at the same position. That doesn't sound like an actual trade to me at all. It sounds more like churning the bottom of the roster to try to improve some of those bottom roster guys.
Yeah, that's right. I just saw the interview. He wasn't saying anything of substance.

now I hear about Davis vs SF.
Interesting, but I don't know if I believe that. So he could have helped them but the coaches were mad at him for asking when he'd get a chance? That doesn't make sense to me. Now if he was slacking in his preparation, then okay, but that's different.

Cowboys Offense to 'Take a Step Backward!' Under Mike McCarthy Says Ex NFL QB
Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy is now the offensive play-caller, but the move has been met with criticism and doubts as to whether Dallas will be better offensively because of it.
The Dallas Cowboys have undergone several changes this offseason, the most significant being head coach Mike McCarthy taking over the offensive play calling from Kellen Moore.

Under Moore, Dallas was one of the best offenses in football. Now with the Los Angeles Chargers acquiring his services and McCarthy taking over, some have their doubts about the Cowboys moving on from a coordinator who put up points as Moore's offense did.

Former NFL quarterback Tim Hasselbeck is one detractor of McCarthy calling the plays next season, and Hasselbeck doesn't see it ending well in Frisco.

"I think it's going to take a step backward," Hasselbeck said on NFL Live. "I don't understand this talk about how this offense was somehow a disaster under Kellen Moore. You realize, four years he was the offensive coordinator there, there's one team that scored more points in the NFL - it was the Kansas City Chiefs.

Who cares if the offense "takes a step back" under McCarthy? It "took a step back" when Rush was playing, but we were 4-1.

I think that's more the type of thing Mike has in mind. They promised things would look similar when Dak came back, but it never happened. I suspect that made Mike mad and is what he meant when he talked about Kellen was wanting to light up the scoreboard.
