Used to love catching him on Howard Stern. Seriously couldn't tell if it was a shoot or a work.

Most of Sheik’s great shoot interviews aren’t available on YouTube anymore.

He was one funny dude and a great athlete in his day.

My favorite story he told was when he was drug tested when Vince became aware that he and Hacksaw Jim Duggans were doing a lot of coke on the drives from territory to territory. Vince called Sheik and Hacksaw into his office to go over the results. When Vince explained that the tests were positive, Sheik slapped Hacksaw on the shoulder and said “positive means good.”, to which Hacksaw had to tell him, “not in this case.”.

Both were fired.

RIP.

I thought I heard they got fired because they got arrested together while they were still in the kayfabe days.

Vader was a bad ass. It was pretty real when Hansen knocked his eyeball out of his skull and he just kept on going.
