I've been seeing a lot of this over the last few years, and not just with QBs. Refs are throwing flags on perfectly legal hits just because the hit looks too violent.
This and the Basham roughing the passer play fall into the category of calls made purely off a teams reputation.
NE Patriots players could make those exact same plays and this same officiating crew wouldn't throw a flag on those plays.
It's BS. But it is what it is.
Jerry Jones and the Cowboys rarely operate within the framework of meritocracy. So I don't expect Bland to get playing time over 2nd and 3rd round draft picks.
Remember when people argued that Dak should leave money on the table so the Cowboys can sign extra players? :lol Good times.
If I'm Dak , I'm resting comfortably knowing I made the right decision squeezing every nickel possible out of the Joneses. Because now we're seeing that they wouldn't...
The lack of nicknames has become a problem across the board in sports.
Now everyone just defaults to initials for player nicks. Lame.
I remember when Kevin Durant was still in OKC people were trying to nickname him 'Slim Reaper'. That would have been an awesome nickname but he pushed back...
The infuriating part of operating under Stephen's thrifty approach is that he's basically playing whack-o-mole.
Roster turnover in the NFL happens too quickly to strictly build a winner through the draft. By my count there are only 16 current players who were on the Cowboys roster in 2019...
My wife has Prime so I can just log in with her account but I'll probably just find a bootleg stream. That'll be my little way of sticking it to the man.
That was my take away when I saw this video yesterday. To me it looks more like poor blocking by a slow-footed RT rather than it being an "absolutely freaky" play.
