I watched some of that Rangers-Astros game on Sunday Night and I didn't recognize a single name in their lineup.
Siemen? He's been around with the As and Blue Jay's. Saeger is out with an injury. Lowe won the 1st base silver slugger last year. Thanks @Prodigal_Son. He is probably the only trade that we have ever won dealing with the Rays. Garcia is a Cuban player on his third year with the Rangers. Jung is our top prospect but the rest were journeymen.

Not to mention the pitching has been fantastic, both starting and bullpen.

Lots of turnover. I only know the names of about half of the lineup.

He was our minor league player of the year the season before his callup. We just didn't have a roster spot for him on either end and needed to turn him into something. But don't count it as a win just yet. All 3 prospects that came back have high ratings internally and if there's something the Rays always do, its win trades.

Oh and Josh Smith and Duran were 2 of the players we got from pawning Gallo off to the Yankees. @bbgun

The Rays might just be the most efficiently run organization in all of sports.

It is amazing what they do year in and year out with their budget.

5-1 against last year's WS teams and just ripped apart a bad Royals team.
It's ok to be excited, broski.
I have been a Rangers and Cowboys fan my whole life. I will hold off on the excitement.

So we all agree? Braves vs Rangers in the World Series? Should we just start it now?

Meh. I get it, I really do. But when was the last time the Rangers had a 3-time WS champion manager and a Front Office willing to spend on good pitching? Never? That's right.
Not saying they're a WS contender this year (they're likely not) but they absolutely have a good shot at winning 90+ games and a playoff series, and have a minor league system loaded with talent (probably top-5 in all of baseball). No reason to think they won't have a good shot at winning a title somewhere in the next 2-5 years.
