Per Todd Archer:

But McCarthy is happy to be going back to his roots and implementing changes to the offense. Most of the offensive staff is having shorter than usual visits to Indianapolis for the combine in order to put together the new-look offense.

In fact, McCarthy flew to Indianapolis Wednesday morning and was back in Texas hours later.

My question is this.

What the fuck are they doing to put together the offense when they don't even have access to any of the players?

Are sitting there whiteboarding plays instead of seeing with their own eyes the offensive talent that still hasn't even worked out in Indy yet?

He wanted to get back and work more on the offensive strategy. I seem to remember it in an interview or something. He also left Shawty behind to do the same.

Letting the scouts do their job? I mean isn't that kind of important? I don't want my coaches pretending they are scouts standing on the table for players. That's how you get Tristian Hills and Knowshon Wrights. Just saying.

I still would like my Head Coach to at least be at the Combine to oversee the players and be an active participant in the process.

He basically showed up for a fucking press conference.

Please tell me a Rice man did not say that.

Probably a misquote from No C.

Meh, they are interviewing over video and every numskull can watch the drills on video. I'm not too concerned, these aren't the guys I want drafting.

In Quinn we trust. But seriously an excellent corner who will never make it to us.

I hope we do a formal interview with Carter so everyone can speculate about another guy who will be long gone by the time we pick. We scout everyone.
