I agree. Hell I would have been happy of we had at least shipped Hill, Gallimore or Basham for any sort of a draft pick. Instead we never get value for guys. We have made a couple decent trades for players in the past but not many.

I agree. In the end the Cooper decision was just stupid. Dare I say with Cooper and Lamb and this group of TEs, I think we could be the best team in the NFC right now.

I like Cooks, but not as much as Cooper. To give up a second round pick for him on a contract not all that different than Coopers would make zero sense. The problem is going forward, that's the cost of a really good NFL receiver. So either you have to start drafting them and trying to find bargains, or accept the fact that if you want dynamic receivers who have been in the league more than 4 years, you're probably going to have to pay that.

Hopefully their supposed urgency to make a trade spills over into FA next year if we end up just short this year, given that Jerry is a few years from kicking the bucket and all.
