Instead of just elevating the next young former QB to OC in hopes that they're the next Payton they need to actually go outside the organization for play-callers/offensive architects.

McCarthy is the definition of a walkaround coach and doesn't seem to do shit with the offense so I'm not counting him.

The only time Garrett's/Linehan's offense worked at a truly high level in the last 12 years (2014 and 2016) was when we had literally 3 HOF talents on the OL plus a handful of other Pro Bowl talents at the skill positions.

All they did with Moore is take a guy who had no NFL experience beyond Garrett/Linehan and promoted him because he's a fresh face with a recognizable name.
Ala Jason Garrett.

Moore inherited a premiere NFL offensive philosophy, crazy that he can't make it work.

Whoever they would bring in still gonna have Jack Shit to throw the ball to.

Lean on run game and let it ride.

You dug this hole, don't need another.

I don’t get this at all. I don’t see why just because you have a starting QB for a few years, you then have to marry him with a long term contract that doesn’t match his skill level. Dak was never that guy. He had a pretty special rookie year, struggled after that until he was blessed with a loaded supporting cast, then he’s been injured or retarded for the rest of the time here.

Shit, you think there’s a ton of drop off from Dak Prescott to Andy Dalton?

Why not take a real look at the situation and weigh the options like they matter? Pay an above average QB $150mil at the expense of your roster, or pay a slightly below average QB much less to keep the seat warm while you find a QB that can play at a high level?

What is the infatuation with hitching your wagon to a guy for 4-6 years just because he’s okay enough to get by for a while?

This was exactly my point during his contract negotiations and everyone told me I was crazy.

100000000%

Getting a top 5-7 pick would have way more impact than clawing our way to 9 wins (at best) with Dak out for half the season.

I think Lamb still projects as a solid number 1 WR, he's just not in the elite tier of Adams/Chase/Kupp/Jefferson and so forth.

He should get an extension in the neighborhood of 18-20/year (if he gets one depending on how the draft in the next year or two goes) as opposed to this nonsense talk of 25+/year just because other guys are getting it.
