I'm sure they'll put a TE over there plenty to chip with. And with two weeks to practice and him knowing he has to really focus and get this right, he might be okay. I'm sure there will be some hiccups but he might surprise us on the positive side, too.
He's going to have some blatant mistakes/penalties where he looks like shit I'm sure, but I think he'll grow into it and be better than what most are expecting, which is basically a complete disaster.

That ranking seems pretty close to me. Not sure why we're ahead of the Cards but I'm not sure why we're behind Philly, either. And if something happens to Brady, they could fall way off.
Just looked at it again and realized it was NFC not all NFL. PHI and DAL are probably pretty close. I might put MIN above them.

Tyler Smith will probably be fine ultimately at LT. He will struggle while he adjusts to the leap in difficulty coming from Tulsa to the NFL, and having spent all his TC time at guard. This puts pressure on whoemever plays next to him, which appears to be McGovern (secretly rooting for Farniok to challenge) . We dont know what to expect from McGovern, but last year was pretty uneven. And I dont accept hype about training camp excellence. Thats a shaky left side, not to mention Biadasz. Im a patient man, but this could be pretty fugly early on.

Yea it's not ideal but the circumstances aren't ideal either, he's only played LT in college so let's see what he's got.

I'd caution against drawing conclusions one way or the other too early though, we'll have to see how he develops over at least 6-8 games to really have something of an idea.

He was also considered a project coming out and here we are starting him at LT from day 1 simply because we decided that having no other option was somehow a plan.

This is what pisses me off.

A day after his HC was like, I don't want to talk about who the starter is, Jerry is like, yeah he's the starter and here's my dissertation on what I think about it.

No respect for your HC.

Fuck you Jerry.
Feh.

It is Jerry's team and he can run it as he sees fit, fake fan.

What do you want? You want him walking on eggshells like he did when Parcells was around? Huh?

Dak is just trying to be a good leader and support his teammates. I won't be upset with him for doing that.

I don't know if that's being a great leader just to automatically prop anyone and everyone up.

You don't have to be critical necessarily, but there's nothing wrong with applying a little pressure like, "Obviously he's in a new role and he's going to need to step up."

I'm not sure that "He's great, we're great, everything's great" is the right vibe for where the offense is at.

I'm quite sure he is under marching orders.
