I took it to mean that yeah, he could play if it was the super bowl. Because the offseason would be following. But with it being the first game of the season, it's better to not chance aggravating the injury and losing him for a chunk of the season to follow.

See now that makes sense. Jerry said it twice and still didn't say it that clearly.

Okay, yeah, that's the only way it makes any sense.

Except when we saw video of him running routes at the Chargers practice, he was about 3/4 speed at best and still not running well at all. So I guess he technically could "play", but he'd be less effective than any practice squad WR body you ran out there.
I saw those vids, too. Hard to tell if he was going full speed or purposely going 1/2 to 3/4 just for the reps.

The Bills signed Von Miller this offseason, the Chiefs signed Joe Thuney to a huge deal last offseason, the problem is that these dullards are too closed minded and frankly dumb to think outside the stupid little box Stephen built for himself.
Do you get paid royalties every time you mention Von Miller? :lol

How many examples would you like of teams paying elite QB money who went out and made aggressive moves in FA by signing high quality external FA's?

The Rams with Allen Robinson and Bobby Wagner.
The Broncos with Gregory.
The Packers with basically an entire defense about 2 years ago with Preston Smith, Za'Darius Smith and Adrian Amos.
The Ravens with Marcus Williams.
The Raiders with Chandler Jones.

Eh, I thought he looked stiff and guarded in his running. Which is totally normal and to be expected, because it just hasn't been long enough since the injury. Jerry was being way overoptimistic like usual.

Yeah its funny, we aren't talking about elevating the Oline because of Zeke and what we are paying him.

I think it's kind of shitty the way they are putting their cheapness all on Dak. Like hey, we aren't giving him much help but that's what happens when you pay the QB. He will just have to make do with no protection and shitty weapons. All while these chucklefucks are the ones who traded away his best receiver for a fifth round pick.

Well, I didn't see Von Miller's name in there. So it was something new, I guess.

That ranking seems pretty close to me. Not sure why we're ahead of the Cards but I'm not sure why we're behind Philly, either. And if something happens to Brady, they could fall way off.

It's because they have no idea what the fuck they are doing or how to build a team. They don't look at Noah Brown and see utter shit the way everyone else does. They just think Dak will turn slow and unathletic into a legit NFL weapon. It's just not how this works.
Yea it's not ideal but the circumstances aren't ideal either, he's only played LT in college so let's see what he's got.

I'd caution against drawing conclusions one way or the other too early though, we'll have to see how he develops over at least 6-8 games to really have something of an idea.

I'm sure they'll put a TE over there plenty to chip with. And with two weeks to practice and him knowing he has to really focus and get this right, he might be okay. I'm sure there will be some hiccups but he might surprise us on the positive side, too.
