I'm super proud of my sons. One a freshman backup QB who has had he whole life in the spotlight as an athlete. Now he is a role player that is in on the PAT team. The other is my 18 year old who has been an all-state player for a long time. He has been injured most of the season and greatly slowed when he has been back. They have both learned to be team players and let others get the glory. It has been a good learning experience for both of them.

As a coach, it is an unbelievable feeling to see your players go to the state championship game. I'm so damn pumped for this. If we win I'm going to buy myself a giant ring and flaunt it like a combination of Jimmy Johnson and Jerry Jones

Exactly.

For reals though, my oldest won a ring.

My 18 year old won the select national tournement. Now my 14 year old and 18 year old are on the same team going to state together.

My 12 year old have been to the championship game 3 years in a row.

My family is like then opposite of the cowboys in the last decade.

My 18 year old has offers to play at some smaller colleges, but has decided not to. He is scheduled to graduate early and go to nursing school in January.

Which makes me happy. I'd hate to see him sacrifice his body simply for playing at a small school.

Props

Sounds like you've really been stacking good games on top of one another.

I hope your team keeps getting better.

We are playing Waco Live Oak Classical. They are a pretty tough team.

Honestly we already beat the best team, IMO. I wouldn't say that it was because we were just amazing in that game either. The other team had a terrible game. Sometimes you need a few things to go bad for the other team in order to win it all.

It is going to be a challenging week. Thanksgiving, travel, playing in the Cotton Bowl -I'm curious about how the kids will respond. Dang teenagers are moody sometimes.
