I really wish they would go back to that. I really miss not having to worry about going to work the next day after just one round.
It's up to us fans to boycott one year to force them back to the old format.

A compromise would be starting the draft on Friday nights using the same 3 day format. That would allow most people to stay up late without having to worry about getting up early the next morning for work or school.

Someone email Rodg with that idea.

I will probably be the only person on here that says this but I kind of like the current format. More time in between to sort of talk and look at potential players. I also think that before by the fifth, sixth and seventh round most had tuned out. Now the third days feels more exciting. And I have all day Sunday to talk about the draft as opposed to work the next day.

Like I said, I expect no one to agree with me.

Same here. Draft weekend used to be an event. Now with it stretched out so much, it has taken a lot of luster out of it.

Getting together with your buddies for a day of football and boozing on Saturday was awesome. Then the hungover Sunday watching the last few rounds. Couldn't beat it. Now? Feh.
You're right about that. One of my favorite things to do was to break out my grill and BBQ during the draft because it was pretty much an all day event.

It was perfect because the pace of the draft was slow enough where I could go outside to check the food, etc., and still easily keep up with what was going on in the draft.

I just can't bring myself to break out the grill to watch the backend of the draft.

Which is the best twitter account to follow, do you think
I'm not sure. Maybe someone like Peter King who's not directly tied to the networks broadcasting the draft.

I believe the NFLN & ESPN insiders have some sort of gentlemen's agreement not to tip the picks so as not to take away from the TV audience.

Please, no ringers this year. Are we supposed to believe that a shitload of Jaguars fans flew to Vegas for the draft? And Goodell's fucking sofa chair better not make an appearance either.

Speaking of which, anybody spoiling a pick by announcing it early should be banished from the island.
That's why I said what I said earlier in the thread. That shit will not be allowed.

Jax fans have been known to take over opponents stadiums.

I'd rather take Burks and an Olineman or Dlineman in the 2nd. We are not a trade up away from a complete team. We need as many premium picks as we can get.

Why do we only get to choose between Burks and Smith?
Because that's where the winds seem to be blowing.

If it were up to me I'd just sit at 24 and take Zion, Linderbaum or Kenyon, or trade down with someone like Ebiketie, Dean, Wyatt, etc in mind

I have to admit my GAS meter is pretty low for this draft.

But I blame the Joneses for that. Their flippant attitude towards free agency and this offseason in general has turned me off.
Exactly. They aren’t gonna turn the team into anything close to a contender. More mediocrity even if they nail the first pick like Parsons or Lamb.
