Now Now Tony. You used to get on to us about this.
:lol

Hell yea he would....and does.

And Tony, since apparently you're not following him, he's talking about how you got on to some of us for wishing for losses for the betterment of the team, which is exactly what you're doing now with the Sixers.

You mean the Cowboys?

No, the Washington Generals.
So you guys are comparing tanking in the NBA to the NFL? Seriously? The NFL doesn't work like that. This NBA draft is the best and most deep draft in many years with multiple possible franchise players available. In the NBA one draft can turn your entire franchise around. You can turn over the smaller NBA rosters in a year or two. In the NFL it can take forever. You can draft top 5 for years in the NFL and it still wouldn't matter and it wouldn't matter to us. We all know the problem with the Cowboys and that starts at the top.

The worst possible thing to happen to the Sixers this year would be to finish at the bottom of the lottery. They've been stuck in the middle of the draft for years and that's purgatory in the NBA and you guys know that.

And I explained the difference between the rooting for the Sixers to tank and rooting for the Cowboys to tank. I guess you don't get it.

It is? So what you are saying the Cowboys going 3-13 this year will turn the franchise around on par with the Sixers picking top 3 this year? Got it. You guys are both right and I'm wrong I guess.

The Cowboys drafting a DL at the top of this upcoming draft is the same as the Sixers drafting Wiggins, Randle, Parker or whoever top 3 in the NBA? That D-Lineman will make that much of an impact on the Cowboys that our fortunes will forever change?

One guy makes that much of a difference in the NBA. The NFL not so much.

That's fine. You don't do the same thing as Tony does.

I hope the Cowboys run the table and the Sixers win the lottery. You guys are clueless.
I think im pretty well tuned in. We pull for the cowboys to lose to try change the team for the better. You are pulling for the team to lose to make the team better. Yet we are the bad fans and you arent. See how that works?

Sorry, Tony, but you're full of shit.

You can try and debate the impact of losing to each respective team all you like, but in the end, it all comes down to wishing that X team loses for the betterment of the franchise.

If he wants to argue that the impact of the Sixers losing will likely override the impact of the Cowboys losing then I agree, but the principle is the same, losing for the potential betterment of the team.

It's also why every song sounds like Drake featuring Drake.

The only thing that will change our fortunes is if the Jones family is not owner of the Cowboys. We have to win in spite of the Jones', we have to get lucky. All you guys thinking us going 3-13 for 3 years straight is going to cure the team are crazy. Jerry has to give up control and that isn't going to happen, so again we have to win in spite of him.

So yes, I laugh at you guys for rooting against us in September when the whole season is ahead of us. This version of the NFL sucks with a bunch of mediocre teams so with a few breaks who knows. I laugh at guys saying they are not watching the games anymore. I've watched every Cowboys game this year and so far every Sixers game.

Before this season the Cowboys had a great chance to win the division (and still do). Before this season the Sixers were predicted to win 17 games and had no chance at the playoffs and no shot in hell of beating the Heat, Spurs, Pacers, Bulls, Warriors, Oklahoma City, etc. in a 7 game series. While in the NFL on any given Sunday this crappy version of the Cowboys can beat any team in the NFL.

I'll be honest. I was kind of hoping we'd lose one game. Last game of the 1988 season. I wanted Aikman.

I don't think the Eastern Conference has ever been as bad as it is right now.

It is terrible.

Even the playoff teams and supposed eastern conference favorites are playing poorly.

Outside of Indiana and Miami, nobody in the east looks all that great. The Knicks and Nets are battling it out for worst NY team, and the Bulls have been disappointing by their standards.

This could be like it was in the mid 2000's when multiple teams with losing records were getting into the playoffs in the eastern conference.
