Not saying much given the level of competition. What a bizarre streak of starting QBs... Josh Freeman (freshly transplanted to a new team), Matt Barkley (I must say I truly enjoyed the Cowboys quarter or so playing against him), Terrell Pryor (horrible passer and injured too), and Scott Tolzien.

In all four games they basically didn't have to respect the passing attack at all. If only Dallas could have said the same two weekends ago.

Antrel Rolle promises different outcome for NY Giants this time against Cowboys

By Ralph Vacciano / NEW YORK DAILY NEWS

Monday, November 18, 2013, 10:40 PM

The Dallas Cowboys were the better team on Opening Night, and Antrel Rolle knows they deserved to beat the Giants.

But on Sunday night at the Meadowlands, Rolle promised that "It's definitely going to be a different outcome."

That's the vow he made Monday night on SNY's Daily News Live, kicking off the hype to the Giants' rematch with the Cowboys. The Cowboys won the opener in Dallas 36-31 because of six Giants turnovers. But the Giants, who have won four straight games to salvage the 0-6 start to their season, are a much different team now.

And Rolle admitted, a little "payback" would be nice.

"Payback? Absolutely," Rolle said. "They played good football. You can't take anything away from them. They had six turnovers. That's an exceptional game a defense could have. They played great football. We just came up a little bit short. But I think this time around it's definitely going to be a different outcome.

"We're going to go out there and we'll fight," Rolle added. "We're fighting for dear life right now."

By Todd Archer | ESPNDallas.com

IRVING, Texas -- Walt Anderson will be the referee when the Dallas Cowboys take on theNew York Giants on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.

It will be the third time in the last 12 games Anderson has worked a Cowboys game. He was on hand for the 2012 season finale loss at the Washington Redskins and the Week 6 meeting this year at AT&T Stadium between the Cowboys and Redskins, which Dallas won.

The Cowboys had seven penalties for 80 yards in that game. The Redskins had 12 for 104 yards.

This past Sunday, Anderson worked the Detroit Lions-Pittsburgh Steelers game and the crew called 14 penalties and had 12 accepted. The visiting Lions were penalized eight times for 45 yards. The Steelers had four penalties for 23 yards.

The breakdown:

False start – 4
Offensive holding – 4
Encroachment – 2
Defensive holding – 1
Defensive pass interference – 2
Roughing the passer – 1

Quarter by quarter:

First – 1
Second – 9
Third – 2
Fourth – 2

That is bad. I know a lot of us have disdain for Jones but why display the hate on the team? I do not understand this but I suppose I don't have to.
Because it will take us tanking to get some of the mental midgets to stop buying the product. And that's the only thing that will make Jerry make any substantial changes.

Jones will do just fine financially whether Cowboys products are sold or not. The team plays the game and they are the ones that deserve fan support.

Empty stadium will produce change whether he makes money elsewhere or not.

Correct, because the relevance factor goes away at that point.

Yup.

If that isn't enough to convince you that the Cowboys need to lose, then the consequences of making the playoffs and winning this division at 8-8 should.

Jerry Jones won't see this as being an aberration or the team being lucky to win in a down year. He'll consider this season a success and we'll get another year of Garrett and the same shit we've been dealing with for years now. Add to that that the Cowboys will have a pick in the 20's when they're really a team in need of a top 15 pick, and you'll have next year setup to be a disaster with a 1st place schedule to boot.

If there's any chance of anything changing, it's going to require a losing season.

Doesn't matter. The guy is a master salesman.

He comes up with something every year that manages to excite the lemmings.

Next year, live on the 50 yard line: TONY ROMO fucks my daughter, CHARLOTTE JONES, for your entertainment....and don't forget our reasonable priced ~salesman wink~ concessions!!!

Cowboys have been playing like this for several years and the seats are filled. A lot of folks show up to support the team. It is a strong fan base and there is ample proof that they think more of supporting the team than punishing Jones.

That's because we have consistently gone 8-8. It will take 5-11 or 6-10 to get some of those morons to wake up.

Right.

As much as I hate Jerry for saying it, he's right when he says being relevant makes a difference.

At 8-8, we're doing just enough to be in the hunt at the end of the season, and that causes the fans to stay tuned in. But when you're pretty much out of the race with a full month to go, then that's when people stop showing up.

Don't punish us because they are slow.

Its a process. More and more people that I know are turning and these are people that I never would have thought would.

Maybe so but I have seen loosing seasons and the fans were still there and Landry kept his job. I believe that fan loyalty still exists and as much as we might hope Jones will react differently my sense tells me he will not so I just continue to hope for the best for the team and am realistically skeptical about a change at the top.

Landry had a resume that deserved respect. They would go through that because there was a chance he would turn it around.

Your only kidding yourself if you think an empty taj mahal wouldn't change Jerry. That would destroy that ego. Do I realistically think that would ever happen? No. I just believe that's the only way we will see real change.

I'm not kidding myself. I am saying the fans will not desert the Cowboys and to think they will just to get back at Jones is more of a fairy tale. My point with Landry was that even with their loosing record the fans still came to see the team not Landry.

You missed the point. It wasn't about the fans. It was about whether Jerry would change with an empty stadium. I also acknowledged that I know it won't happen. Just that that's what is going to have to take place if real change is going to happen. My point with Landry is valid as well. He has earned the respect through his accomplishments to weather the storm of a few losing seasons and still have hope. Jerry hasn't.
Again to me it Ian' t about who has earned what. It is about team support. Landry versus Jones is a side issue and doesn't warrant a lack of team support.
