Brooklyn getting blown out at Sacramento.

Is it too early to say they suck?
I don't think it's too early.

I didn't think they'd be that good. Before the season started I said I didn't see them as a threat to the Heat or Pacers. They're too old and slow with all types of holes on defense.

Plus, Jason Kidd wasn't the right choice, IMO. If they keep struggling you're going to see some columnist start to question the hire.

Here's my take on it. The Nets should have hired an experienced HC. The Nets are clearly on a 1-2 year plan. Shouldn't you bring in an experienced HC like George Karl if you need immediate dividends?

I think it was a dumb move to put a guy with ZERO coaching experience in charge of this group. So while he's learning on the fly the team is getting older and slower and falling further back in the standings.

Just a weird hire. I'm guessing they just wanted a "Name" to sell to the fan base and ticket buyers.

Jason Kidd was a horrendous choice, their idiot owner thinks this is the EPL or La Liga where you just go out and spend lavishly on players, bring in past great players as head coaches and have success.

Doesn't work like that here playboy, this is Murica.

Barnes is a fricking idiot thug and always has been.

As for the game, yes, Ibaka's ejection really hurt them and I don't think they lose if he doesn't get thrown out.

Agreed about Jason Kidd.

I questioned that hire back when it was originally made.

Really cool short vids on Jordan talking about his best starting 5, his favorite dunks, and who he'd like to go up against in their primes:

I obviously didn't watch the old legends play, but from the 80's forward, I would take Hakeem at center without hesitation. Easily the best center I've ever seen.

The problem with Kidd is that he needs to shorten the bench. He is trying to pacify way too many players to make sure they get their minutes. I do think he will have success though, but that team is built in a way that Kidd cannot really establish his own style there.

I looked at the box score from last night...11 players had double digit minutes. You just cannot do that.

Great game last night between the Thunder & Warriors.

Iggy beat us with a fade away baseline jumper as time expired. Prior to Iggy clutching up, Westbrook had drilled a deep 3 pointer to give the Thunder a 1 point lead with 2 seconds to play.

I thought the Warriors, particularly Iggy, did an excellent jump disrupting Durant. He finished with about 22 points but he had to work hard just to get that.

It was a nice game, the Western playoffs are going to be alot of fun, shootouts and high scoring games all over the place, the East will basically be a street fight.

Omer Asik Requests Trade From Rockets

Omer Asik has requested a trade from the Houston Rockets.

Asik is unhappy with his playing time with the Rockets playing Dwight Howard at center.

Asik declined comment, referring questions to his agent, Andy Miller. Miller also would not comment on any trade request.

“I would say the situation is very frustrating right now and we’re trying to work through it,” Miller said. “For Omer, the objective has always been to continue to develop and grow as a player. That’s why we came to Houston in the first place. If that objective can’t be met, if we can’t get the right platform to grow and contribute as a player, it’’s certainly frustrating.”

Kevin McHale has experimented with playing Howard and Asik together, but it has been unsuccessful.

Didn't Asik ask for a trade shortly after Dwight signed with the Rockets?

I don't know what the money would be like but I'd definitely trade Perkins for Asik. Rockets would get back a good low-post defender/banger to back up Howard. Obviously he'd be a huge liability on offense.

That's what you call a warning shot.
Maybe.

They hadn't played all that well so they were due to get back on track.

Also, the Spurs are 9-1. Is this team ever NOT going to be good?

Sheesh.

BTW, did any of you catch Lebron's performance last night?

Just ridiculous.
