I think it is well beyond that stage of sanity.
Yeah, I would've tried to do that back before they even decided (were forced) to drop the name and logo.

But like I said, either no one in that organization has a brain or I'm underestimating the complexity of pulling this off.

If I were Snyder, I'd organize some sort of meeting with the leaders of the Native American community and work with them to come up with a team name and logo that represents that culture respectfully and honorably.

That way, you get to keep things as close to how you had it before and you do so with the approval of their community which also helps to shut up all the PC folks.

I guess no one over there thought of that or maybe it's just not as easy as I'm thinking it would be.

The Washington Proud Indigenous People Who Were Completely Peaceful And Were In The Americas Since Before Humans Existed And Lived In Harmony With The Earth And Have Never Done Anything Bad Or Wrong Ever Until The White Man Came But Are Also Mighty Warriors Not That Such Things Are Endemic Or Define Them.

It does have a nice ring to it.

Honestly they should just go with Celtics or Fighting Irish so that they could be a living example of the world's hypocrisy.

No way. They'd endlessly bleed him for donations, scholarships, etc. Best to make a fresh start with a benign name.

Totally agree, but the problem is the people who were/are upset about the name don't care about what the Natives actually think.

Yeah, but that argument holds less weight if the Native American community supports the organization.

But this is all hypothetical anyway so the point is moot.

But there's no one native American community, and there's no consensus regardless.

Just as supposedly it was a pretty small segment of the community that was offended by the Redskins name.

This is more about appeasing the Woke White community, and they won't be happy no matter what.

Almost everyone still calls them that to some degree, but they also like calling them “The Football Team”

You have announcers apologizing profusely for accidentally saying "redskin" during a broadcast. They're trying to make it the new n-word.

Good for him, went from scrub QB prospect to legit starting NFL TE. Too bad he didn't do it earlier in his career. He is already 30 years old now, if he had done it earlier he may have had a really nice career as a NFL TE.
