That's good. Gonna need him to be a key piece if Texas wants to compete again in a couple years.
Question; You think they should trade Gallo or try to work out an extension? His agent is Scott Boras which complicates things.
They should have traded him years ago but thats just the benefit of hindsight. Trade him. He is useless.

Well, holy shit. I went and looked and they actually do. I didn't expect that, considering how the Twins have been sucking all year.

Maybe we will win one.

:towel
I knew they could do it. At least one more win for you coming up.

I'm all for selling the farm and starting completely over.
This is year 2 of that. They really dont have much to trade now so its just up to high draft picks for the next few years. About the best thing that they could do if they dont think they can win in the next few years is trade Adolis Garcia while the iron is hot. Gallo isnt going to return much now.

I agree for the most part.
I'd like to see Garcia and Kiner-Falefa stick around barring a huge trade offer, but anybody else is fair game.
Really want to see Jung in the bigs for at least a month this season and I hope Texas takes one of the Vandy pitchers in the draft.

I think Jung is going to be very solid in the Bigs. I am also a TTU fan, so I might be a little biased.

The mandatory checks are just dumb. It's not like pitching is dominating these days.

If you have a specific reason to suspect and check someone then fine. But everybody?

I just watched a dude load the bases then give up a grand slam. That dude ain't cheating.

I don't understand MLB. They were so concerned about games being too long, they made dumb changes like eliminating the intentional walk and starting runners on second in extra innings.

So now that pitching is doing better -- making for shorter games -- they aren't happy that there isn't enough offense. So they're going to fix that, which will lead to longer games.

It's definitely a catch 22. Offense sells, apparently, but offense creates much longer games.

I'll never understand the bitching about longer games. If it's a shitty game, like 12-0 or whatever, it really doesn't matter how long it is anyway. It's just as shitty at 1:30 as it would be at 3 hours.

If it's a great game, the longer the better.

Speaking of the MLB wanting to shorten games, and your point about 12-0 games, does it make sense to implement a run rule in the Bigs? I lean towards no because massive blowouts are fun to watch (as long as it is my team doing the blowing out :lol)

Absolutely.

And if it's a 12-0 game, nobody is watching to the end anyway.

I must be an oddball but I actually like an awesome pitching duel.
