As my previous post mentions, teams are going to have losses like that from time to time, but the Cowboys seem to have cornered the market in those types of losses.

The Saints probably won't lose a game like that for another couple of years but I'd bet a week's salary that the Cowboys will find a way to top yesterday's collapse before the end of this season.
You'd bet ten whole dollars?

I'm don't think I'm watching unless the Cowboys are on national tv. No More scouring the Internet for a live feed. I may not even waste my time for the nationally televised games. I'll read it in the paper the next day. I'm pretty much sick of this team.

Romo could have been much better if he had been working for a more mature coach. Parcells knew Romo needed to have discipline to succeed. Unfortunately we got a coach that was learning on the job and running an offense out of a "for Dummies" book.

That's the issue I have with the new "Manning-like" Romo.

He's been elevated to a level in this organization that he's hardly achieved.

I guess you missed where he's the best QB in the history of football over the course of his first 100 starts.

Clearly you have an agenda since you choose to gloss over FACTS!!!!!!

Yep.

Facts.

Facts like statistics that mean absolutely nothing at the end of the day.

I know you were being sarcastic, but it is just tiring to listening to the excuses anymore.

Ughh.....the Alex Barron game.

I tell you, this team finds the most creative ways to lose games.

I've never seen a team lose as dramatically as often as the 2006-present Cowboys. Most teams will have a loss like that every few years or so. The Cowboys have a couple of losses like that every year.
The one that I never thought could be topped was the game in DC several years ago when we were lined up to kick the game winning FG. But not only was it blocked, but run back to mid-field and then a personal foul penalty set the Redskins up for the winning FG as time expired. I think it was in '08 or so because TO was still playing for us.

IIRC, score was tied and Romo-to-Witten long completion magically got us into FG position for the last play of the game.

1. Witten misses block.
2. A Redskin blocks Vanderjagt's FG attempt
3. Time has expired - if play ends, it's OT
4. Sean Taylor picks up the ball and runs about 15 yards.
5. A Cowboy facemasks Sean Taylor, so 15 yard penalty more.
6. With 00:00 on the clock, one more play is granted for the penalty.
7. Ex-Cowboy cut that training camp, Nick Novak, kicks a GW ~50 yard FG.

It doesn't get any better than that.

That was 2006, I was there.

As if the list of games wasn't enough, I think there's more...a lot more. Don't think anyone's mentioned these games:

1. 2008 at Arizona Cardinals - In Overtime, Blocked McBriar punt for a TD recovery. Arizona scored TD on the opening kick return

2. 2008 at St Louis Rams - Steven goes balls out and the shithole Rams destroyed us 34-14. Zoner Cowboychris yells at Wade Phillips while walking to team bus.

3. 2008 at Philadelphia - Week 17 Do-or-die game and we lose like 44-6.

4. 2009 vs NY Giants - Opening game at Cowboys Stadium. Loss.

5. 2010 vs New Orleans - Thanksgiving. Roy Williams is running for the game-clinching touchdown but is stripped at the 1 yard line from behind. Drew Brees drives for the GW score like hot knife through butter.

6. 2011 at Arizona - Garrett ices the kicker, so we go to OT. Pathetic Arizona's offense scores GW-TD with their shithole RB getting a 50-yard screen stiff-arming and breaking tackles like Tecmo Bowl Christian Okoye.

During this stretch, we've gone 0-3 vs Cardinals, 0-2 vs Jaguars.

Also memorable for the Tashard Choice at halftime fumble to DeAngelo Hall for the 50-yard TD return.
