Couldn't find the post but found this on my phone-

View attachment 690883

here's the full quote if anyone is interested:

“However, as public health advocates, we do not condemn these gatherings as risky for COVID-19 transmission. We support them as vital to the national public health and to the threatened health specifically of Black people in the United States. We can show that support by facilitating safest protesting practices without detracting from demonstrators’ ability to gather and demand change. This should not be confused with a permissive stance on all gatherings, particularly protests against stay-home orders.”

Just reading that makes my blood boil.

Spending time with your family, going to church, working and socializing are also essential rights that are important to preserve.

Why aren't they speaking up for those things?

It's not about rights or they wouldn't pick and choose. It's just political horseshit and I'm so tired of it.

So what do we think about this:

If these yahoos are running people off the road, then they should be arrested

If they're brandishing or pointing guns at people, I dont like or support that either. Is this an offense that should result in arrest?

If they are merely waving Trump paraphernalia as a counter to the rolling billboard that is the Biden bus without endangering anyone, then I'm ok with that.

My gut feels like the Dems are over-reacting and being pussies for cancelling their event (moreso for publicity than fear).

Plus, I don't trust that the cancellation wasn't a strategic move they felt would gain more traction with whomever might still be undecided or as a talking point to further bash Trump & his supporters while claiming they were in fear of their lives

A few things...

1. Nobody ran anyone off the road

2. Nobody that I can see from that video waved any guns around

3. The truck that hit that SUV was already in that lane established. The SUV swerved into the trucks lane

4. They didn't impede the bus in any way

Was this smart to do, probably not. Did they do anything legally wrong, no.

the vehicles collided and I do not have enough video to say what lead to the white vehicle swerving into the trucks lane nor would I be surprised to find out the Truck did something provocative making them both stupid and at fault. However, if this is an accurate picture of what transpired, then the white vehicles appears to be at fault

agreed regarding the guns plus with just about everyone having a camera in their pocket these days, I'm not giving any credibility to the gun assertion without video evidence

Definitely the white cars fault. Doesn't really matter what the black truck said to them. You can't swerve into an occupied lane.

I agree that both sides should be able to peaceably display their political paraphernalia, even while driving down the highway but I have to ask what good purpose this serves & does it merely antagonize and divide for no discernible benefit?

This is extremely reckless. I get pot, but I never thought it would come down to the hard shit.
