Maybe...but Jerry hand selected Garrett based on nothing, really.
Sloppy play, unprepared performances, lackadaisical performances, complete unraveling during big or important games....its been on Garretts watch time and time again.

Jerry is to blame because he refuses to step aside and let a real coach and real GM manage and build this team.

The record speaks for itself with him in charge.
Fair enough, but they did this under Wade and even Parcells as well.

I just think these types of losses have happened far too often and now it is ingrained in them to the point that they even expect to lose in these moments.

There is talent on the roster...more than most teams. Jerry is not the biggest factor with the way the team is right now.

I don't hope for wins anymore...I just hope that we can lose the old-fashioned way.
The thing that concerns me is that the team is just becoming unlikeable to me...Romo in particular. As a fan that is a bad thing. Watching Garrett on the sideline is uncomfortable too...you can just see the way he interacts with refs and players, he is just not cut out to be a leader of men. You have to have charisma...he has none.

I love how some constantly try to absolve Jerry of the blame he deserves.

Who hired Wade and Garrett and primarily because he didn't want to 'walk on eggshells' anymore? Who is the GM that keeps ignoring certain positions until it becomes such a major weakness that it ends up wreaking season after season? Who is giving out ridiculous contract extensions fricking up the cap and our ability to bring in better quality players? Who is the GM that has only drafted two QB's in the last 20+ years?

Only one finger needs to be pointed and in just one direction...right at Jerry Jones.

RBs aren't as valuable these days, but, man, Adrian Peterson is the exception. Amazing.

I'm not absovling him of anything...the reality is that this team has talent and they are underperforming. Talk about the bad contracts all you want, but the current product on the field is better than most teams in terms of talent.

Hey, it's taken you longer than most.

This group is easily the most dislikeable group I've ever seen. It's like a bad memory you wish you could erase.

I wish we could erase the 2005-present Dallas Cowboys from the record books. They took a team with arguably the richest history in the sport and turned them into a laughing stock that fans and media alike make fun of at every turn.

Sucks.

Yup.

Dez, Witten and Williams are 3 pieces that together form a group that is 100 times better than anything the 2000-2003 Eagles had and yet Andy Reid took that crap he had and consistently made them one of the best passing offenses in football.

Meanwhile, we're going on about 4 years of this bullshit where this offense struggles week in and week out.

Romo's body language is horrific. Showed no balls when Dez was going off...he should have gotten right back in his face, but he backed down and let Witten fight his battle for him.

With no leader at HC, an enigma at QB, a patchwork DL which we knew needed upgraded even before the injuries, weak safeties and on and on. We underperform annually for a reason and it is due to the person at the top making the decisions and fostering the loser atmosphere.

This is why Jerry Jones needs to die. This crap will never change as long as he's in charge.

I'd rather lose like the Skins did today than choke at the end of the game like we did.

Even though most of us had this team pegged as an 8-8 team, losses like today still bother me. Even though I had measured expectations for this team this loss will still bother me for most of the week.

Like I said a few weeks ago, one of two scenarios will play out, we either miss the playoffs and Garrett is gone or we squeak in, play the 49ers in the first round, get blown out, Garrett comes back and we have a repeat of 2010 next year.

There's no explanation for what happened today, it's just that the team is inconsistent from top to bottom and one of the many inconsistencies will always find a way to pop up. I'm not going to bitch because a secondary consisting of Jeff Heath, BW Webb and Jakar Hamilton fucked up when the game should've been over. Romo played like a complete idiot outside of two throws and Garrett showed off his amazing game management skills yet again.

I was calling to take a knee that entire drive but no, we just have to run it on 3rd and 13 for God only knows what reason, to take an extra 5 seconds off the clock?

Exactly. A large number of people think Dez is the problem. I think that's far from true.

If Romo had just a little fire in him this team would be better off. Brady, Brees, Manning, Rogers....the true elite QBs all piss a little vinegar from time to time. Not Romo. He just sits quietly on the bench looking at photos while shit is falling apart all around him.

4th and 3 and Jordy Nelson runs a 5-yard stop. Pitch and catch for a 1st down.

...and Jordy Nelson is their only viable target with all the injuries.

Yet it takes an act of Congress of us to get the ball to Dez Bryant.

And I was happy to see Dez do that as well.

The last time anyone got in Romo's face was T.O. But it probably didn't faze him because everyone always wrote that off as T.O. being T.O. and you knew all he really cared about was getting the ball.

While I'm sure Dez was asking for the ball too, I have no doubt that what he wants most is to win and you could see that today.

It's about time someone got on Romo's ass for playing like shit and/or being a dumbass. Everyone in this organization treats him like a baby and I'm tired of it.

Even if you are gonna say "It's on the coach/players" -- Jerry is the one who picks those coaches and those players. It's still on him.

But aside from that, Jerry is an actual negative influence to on-field play. He promotes an atmosphere that lacks focus and accountability which undermines a positive message that the coach is trying to send (and I'm not pimping Garrett here, look at Parcells for an example, or that other time was that Jerry actually overruled a punishment for Anthony Spencer).

He is by far the biggest problem.

I'm not sure that it is. I don't think you can say we are more talented than most of the other playoff caliber teams.

One playcall I didn't like was the offensive drive before the holding-call-drive.

We ran that run on 2nd down that lost 2 yards or something, so 3rd and 12.

We threw an incomplete pass and stopped the clock.

If you're going to run it on 2nd and lose yardage, then run it or a high percentage pass (like a screen) on 3rd down.

That saved 30 seconds.
