Holy shit
Holy shit
You ready to fire back up CFR?Anyone who runs a company or has business sense knows dysfunction starts at the top.
As long as a Jones runs this team, I believe we will always be 2 or 3 steps from contending for any type of Championship.
Honestly if we had Jerry the GM from the Jimmy days we would probably be a lot more competitive because Jerry was more afraid of failure back then because his entire livelihood was on the line.
Now thanks to the millions of dildo Cowboys fans who buy tickets, buy everything Cowboys, and the suckers in Arlington....Jones is perfectly ok with failing on the field. He just sails off in his 23 billion dollar yacht until the next game starts.
He is pretty spot on. When you run everything the guys have no idea what their assignments are. You need something basic that everyone knows and then add wrinkles to it. Our guys are all clueless out there because we are trying to do way too much.
I guess it depends on how one defines a come back. I’m not sure he ever really found his prior ability but was given an opportunity to try to prove being picked up with an injury was a good decision. I don’t think he ever looked like he was ready. Yes he had a few games with a few plays but was never a consistent performer.Because he came back from the injury...
Guess that gives him a lifetime pass.
I had questions about Nolan based on his past history, and the way the season is playing out those concerns were warranted and justified. The organization can say whatever they'd like publicly, but I know privately, neither McCarthy nor the Joneses are happy with what they're seeing and everyone inside the building is scrambling to find answers. There's nothing wrong with a multiple/exotic defense, it's just on the coaches to teach it and get the concepts across effectively to the players. Obviously if you aren't able to do that and/or if the players aren't able to absorb it, then you have to dumb it down.
Not having a real offseason obviously plays a factor but part of me suspects it's just Nolan not being that great of a coordinator, combined with the fact that we don't have a LB or safety who can get guys lined up and processes the game quickly.
and yet Crawford lives large on a bloated contract.
My gawd.
And he is a supposed leader! If that's fucking leadership maybe we are better without any.and yet Crawford lives large on a bloated contract.
8 mil would have helped regardless. Far more than Crawford is helping on the field. But instead we get fed bullshit lies about how this team doesn't want to screw up their cap signing someone. It drives me nuts and I'm really getting fed up with this defense and the way this organization is handling it.We could've cut Crawford, saved 8 million and signed literally 80-90% of the FA's this offseason, in terms of an individual signing.
The guys at the very top would've been out of our price range, but if you're devoting $8 million to one player you can do some cap gymnastics to sign a large pool of players.
Yet the old coordinator was too simple. He is pretty spot on. When you run everything the guys have no idea what their assignments are. You need something basic that everyone knows and then add wrinkles to it. Our guys are all clueless out there because we are trying to do way too much.
Sherman isn't dumb. Too bad our defensive coordinator doesn't appear to be this smart.
Ideally we'd find a LT prospect who can also project to guard, that way they can replace Williams and take over for Smith whenever that happens.Add OT to probably the top of the needs list for next draft. I’d actually be happy to try something drastic like moving Tyron to guard if we can find another tackle.
Crawford is no surprise to me. Is the sham of him being worth anything finally put to rest?
My gawd.
"team leader", and other worthless bullshit phrases.and yet Crawford lives large on a bloated contract.
Extremes are rarely good. We went from one extreme to the other on defense.Yet the old coordinator was too simple.
This isn’t as easy as everyone assumes.
