Doesn't sound like that would be conducive to a long-term relationship.
It's on the coaches to improve in future games. If they have screwed the pooch in a specific game, they can't get butt-hurt because their QB put the game on his back and won.

The problem with being a good citizen waiting for coaching to improve is you lose games in the mean time. That is an unacceptable cost, right?

IMO, each season is precious and lost games make the difference between HFA or maybe even missing the playoffs altogether.

We have been saying it for years, but Dak HAS to run more. Bottom line. Whether it’s by design or not, that guy need to be hovering around 6-8 rush attempts a game. He is phenomenal at it, and it keeps defenses honest. The fact that it has yet to be incorporated in his career thus far is criminal.

I guess this was a drive-by rant. cowboychris isn't returning to the scene of the crime and already crossed the proverbial border for safety...If Dak sucks again vs Falcons, bright side is maybe we'll get a CowboyChris encore.

You guys are crazy. Dak wasn't bad by any stretch. He was getting clocked and still managed to nearly win the game if not for a bad call.

Check this out and tell me he wasn't playing under duress the whole game.

I can understand the scrutiny considering the astronomical price tag but he didn't play bad in the first game. I'm willing to give the team a learning curve. if they're not looking like a well-oiled machine by game four or five, that's when you start getting pissed.

It is like going back to the Romo days except at this time you don’t have to add “and he was playing injured”

I would agree. How many coaches win early in their first season? @dpf1123? Your first project as board statistician. I know you declined the position, but...

Yeah not only first game as a head coach here but going against a head coach who I'm not sire has ever lost an opener. Thrown on top of all that is an offseason where there were no preseason games to implement his system.

I would much rather my coach start cold and get hot than start hot and then fizzle out.

Yep. We started hot last year and we saw how that turned out. You don't want to bury yourself early but how you finish is more important than how you start.
