True, but I guess that depends on the level of faith we have in the young guys Hill and Gallimore.

Yep that's exactly my issue. Hill is highly questionable and Gallimore I like but he's a rookie and there's been essentially no off-season.

It's really tough to gauge how much work the team and coaches were able to get done virtually under the circumstances. But if McCarthy put the same effort and preparation into it as he seemed to be doing with everything else, that gives me a bit more confidence.

And most all of the positional coaches he's hired have all had experience equal to or above their current job titles, so that gives me confidence as well.

One of the things that is also obviously different this year is the media is being heavily restricted on what and when they can report. I know that sucks for us fans but I like it from the team's perspective.

The NFL has imposed a number of crackdowns on media access, with number of reporters allowed to observe and what they can and cannot report about. That has a lot more to do with it than the coach.

The NFL hasn't restricted the media being able to report about schemes and formations, and if you look at the tweets above it's obvious the reporters can't talk about that. That's 100% McCarthy.

Well now that camps aren't open to the public the teams can impose restrictions now. That doesn't mean these guys remain tight lipped though.

And I actually liked Richard and had high hopes for him.

I may be homering out, but I think the differences in this team are going to be HUGE.

Noticeable and undeniable.

There will be no doubt in even the minds of the few remaining Garrett loving holdouts - that do exist on the Internet believe it or not - that the guy was a never-was of an excuse for a head coach and that he himself squandered players and opportunities for years.

I have wanted to see more strip efforts for years now. When Richard first came in we got to see a little of it and then it went away for whatever reason.
