Goodell (read: the GIANTS) really don't want Gregory back on the field for Dallas.

He's a young, potentially building-block type player if Mary Jane suspensions aren't a factor, so of course they will do all they can to block/stall his return.

But this is the first I'm hearing of the NFLPA being pressured to not support him. That's fucked up, frankly.

Yeah the start to the football season this year has really sucked. Which is disappointing after an awesome draft had me all excited. I guess I should just be glad to have a season coming up but I can't help but feel like this season is just going to be weird and an outlier with everything going on.

I predict it will be a shit show. Players in and out, no continuity and the talent will end up being subpar due to circumstances.

And how many players will be unnecessarily sidelined because of false positives?

It's going to be a massive shit show. I'd imagine it's going to take weeks for the level of play to get back to what we're used to seeing and the refs will likely be more horrendous than usual given that these 60 year old geezers won't have a handful of preseason games to get their feet wet.

And that's assuming there aren't outbreaks that force large swaths of players to the sidelines, it's very possible that a month into the season half the games will look like the 3rd quarter of a preseason game.

But it's still better than nothing, we'll just have to hope for the best.
