Trying to fit a player with a head shaped like that sucks. Tight on the forehead and floppy on the sides. Dudes always complain about headaches. Get back in the drill, retard head, there's nothing we can do.
You're not fitting them right. :unsure

Calvin Johnson did that to us a couple years ago in the 24-point comeback debacle.

I wonder if yesterday's play had the same Cowboys as a couple years ago. That'd be cryptic.

I'd rather take a draft pick. And Grigson isn't stupid enough to want a spare like Austin.
He was stupid enough to want a spare like Richardson though so you never know.

As you said before though, Austin's contract probably kills any potential deal anyway.

If the Colts hadn't already given up their 1st for Richardson we might be able to pry a pick out of them but I doubt they want to go into a draft without a 1st and say, a 4th. There might be some kind of market for Austin though and I'd be absolutely thrilled if we could get a 4th for him.

Is there any way to restructure a contract mid-season to make it more trade friendly? I doubt Austin would want to lose any money in that kind of situation, but if he's told he will get to play and be a part of their system instead of the 5th option here like he's been he may want it.

That's assuming he has a desire to play and be productive which he hasn't shown lately.

Yep, that and his exploding hamstrings.

You can't restructure him again for a year from the initial restructure.

A tough goodbye for Wes Phillips
October, 21, 2013

By Todd Archer | ESPNDallas.com

PHILADELPHIA -- On Friday, Wes Phillips lost his grandfather, Bum. On Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field, Phillips knew the Texas legend was watching.

“It’s been tough,” said Phillips, the Dallas Cowboys tight ends coach. “As much as I feel I know that for dad, that’s his hero from when he was little, like a superhero. He’s been trying to be just like his dad his whole career so it’s been tough. But we were fortunate in that we knew his health was failing and we got to say our goodbyes and we got to hear from him. He was completely lucid and his brain was good til the end. We got to hear what he had to say to us as well.”

Bum Phillips was 90. A memorial service will be held Tuesday and Phillips will be laid to rest at his ranch in Goliad.

Wade Phillips, Wes’ dad and the former Cowboys coach, worked Sunday’s game as Houston Texans’ defensive coordinator.

There was no doubt Wes and Wade would coach Sunday.

“That’s the last thing he would’ve wanted for us to miss a game for him,” Wes said

Interesting stat.

Dallas has played against 6 of the top 15 sack leaders who have a combined 42 sacks and have only given up 3 sacks to them and they were all in the Broncos game to Phillips and Ayers.

I am still amazed at how we neutralized Houston and Hali those guys have been terrorizing everybody else.

Dallas – Three Performances of Note (PFF)

Hatcher’s Big Year Continues

After putting in his best performance of the year against Washington last week, Jason Hatcher (+6.5) was a man on a mission to do even better again on Sunday. Solid in run defense, where he had a Run Stop Percentage of 12.5%, with two of his three tackles resulting in a defensive stop, it was as a pass rusher where he truly excelled again. Registering a sack, three hits and five hurries on 34 pass rushes, he finished the game with a Pass Rushing Productivity rating of 20.6, easily his best mark of the season so far. His primary victim was Eagles’ right guard Todd Herremans, who he beat to the tune of a sack, two hurries and two hits, drawing an illegal hands to the face penalty from him in the process. It’s a true testament to his play, however, that he had at least one positively-graded play against all five members of the offensive line. After this big performance, Hatcher leads all 4-3 defensive tackles on the season with a grade of +21.2 and it’s about time we started to ask just how good a season he might have when it’s all said and done.

Bryant Takes Over

Despite Tony Romo’s second-lowest graded performance of the year, Dez Bryant was able to put up solid numbers, finishing the game with 110 yards on eight receptions from the 17 passes thrown his way. 43 of those yards came after contact, with Dallas’ star receiver proving difficult to bring down once he got his hands on the ball. What was really telling however, was how much they relied on him on their first touchdown drive of the game. Getting the ball to start the second half, Romo attempted seven passes on the drive, with five going the way of Bryant. He proved himself up to the challenge, coming up with three receptions for 42 yards and drawing a crucial pass interference penalty from Eagles’ defensive back Bradley Fletcher on 3rd-and-4 with 9:27 remaining in the third quarter. That would place the ball at the 1-yard line, where the Cowboys would score on the ground on the next play.

Lee Steps Up

Big things were expected from middle linebacker Sean Lee heading into this season and, in finishing with his highest-graded game since Week 13 of the 2011 season, he duly delivered this week. Playing 22 snaps against the run, the former Penn State standout saw five of his six tackles result in defensive stops. That’s impressive enough on its own, but it was his plays in coverage that really made him stand out. Six passes came his way on Sunday, with Lee allowing three receptions for just 10 yards, adding an interception and a pass break-up on the way. That interception came on 3rd-and-6 with 7:14 left in the game, with Lee breaking on an errant throw and taking the ball back 33 yards and into Philadelphia territory.

Go Giants. Let's get crackin' at ruining their draft status.
I am not worried about their draft status. I want more misery for them and their fans. They would do the same for us.
