For eight years he worked to increase tensions between black and white people with his typical race baiting, and misleading America about police - feeding the lie that police are hunting black people down, when the fact is almost every person shot by cops are either pointing a gun/reaching for a gun, rushing the cop with a knife/pipe/bat, ect., fighting for the cop's gun, stealing their taser or trying to run them over with a car, with few exceptions, like Walter Scott, Botham Jean, Breonna Taylor, Atatiana Jefferson (who deserve absolute justice, BTW. Not afraid to condemn cops when they are wrong, it's just extremely rare that they are).

Well said, and yes obama is a race-baiting piece of shit. I still get mad when I think back to his sermon for the Dallas PD killed by a BLM activist where he turned it into blaming the PD and all white people

Wut

I don't know all about the COVID thing, but the "respectable nation" thing made me chuckle.

‘It’s a mess’: Paterson voter fraud just a taste of mail-in ballot issues plaguing New Jersey

The troubles plaguing New Jersey’s suddenly all-mail elections, including an alleged voter fraud scheme in Paterson that led to four arrests Thursday, have critics questioning whether election officials can ensure that next month’s primaries will be fair.

New Jersey has yet to get to its second of three rounds of 2020 elections, and so far we’ve seen misdelivered ballots, ballots dropped in piles in apartment lobbies and ballots burned in a mail truck fire.
Meanwhile, clerks’ offices are inundated with a flood of mail-in ballots, plus thousands more applications for ballots, many from unaffiliated voters who clerks said don’t intend to vote in the July 7 primary.

“It’s a mess,” said state Sen. Declan O’Scanlon, R-Monmouth.

Gov. Phil Murphy ordered May’s local elections and July’s primaries to be conducted almost entirely by mail as part of the state’s effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus. Since then, the missteps have included:
  • Republican voters in Somerset County received ballots meant for Democratic voters.
  • Morris Township ballots were destroyed when a mail truck caught fire June 20.
  • Possible computer glitches at the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission assigned the wrong party registration to some voters and sent two ballots to voters who have legally changed their names, according to New Jersey Globe.
  • One out of 10 ballots in May’s local elections were not counted, according to NJ Spotlight.
There is also new statewide voter registration software that has been glitchy, slowing the process further, clerks told NorthJersey.com.

“It’s unfortunate and unfair that these elections are going to have an asterisk next to them,” Senate President Stephen Sweeney, D-Gloucester, said Monday.
The allegations out of Paterson may be the most troubling. State Attorney General Gurbir Grewal alleges that Councilman Michael Jackson and Councilman-elect Alex Mendez handled mail-in ballots improperly. Jackson possessed too many mail-in ballots that were not his own and Mendez submitted voter registration applications he knew were false, Grewal claims. Two workers for a third campaign were also charged with election fraud.

One woman said she was hired by the Mendez campaign to pick up and drop off numerous stacks of ballots eight days prior to the election
, said a lawyer for one of the losing candidates.

The Paterson case caught the attention of President Donald Trump, who on Sunday used the fraud allegations as evidence that mail-in voting in the 2020 presidential race would lead to “the most corrupt election” in American history. Trump has been railing against mail-in voting since it became clear some states were moving to that system amid the coronavirus outbreak, though he and others in his inner circle vote by mail themselves.

O’Scanlon said the Paterson mess shows New Jersey is not ready to vote entirely by mail. In other states it appears to work, he said, but New Jersey moved too quickly and cannot handle all the ensuing problems.
When you have all mail-in, you do make it easier for folks who are inclined to steal people’s votes,” he said.

Passaic County Clerk Danielle Ireland-Imhof, a Democrat, declined to comment on the May election in Paterson, saying she does not want to “speculate on bad actors who are looking to take advantage of the vote-by-mail system.”

“What I will say is that if we’re looking to ensure our elections are accessible and safe, voting by mail assures shorter lines and smaller crowds at the polls on Election Day,” Ireland-Imhof said. “This year’s primary election will help identify strengths as well as areas for improvement as election officials continue refining the vote-by-mail experience for voters.”

Richard L. Hasen, a professor of law and political science at the University of California, Irvine, said election fraud in the United States is rare, but the most common type involves mail-in ballots. Any time ballots are out of the control of election officials, they can be tampered with, he said.
But the Paterson case, along with another case of fraud in a North Carolina congressional district in 2018, shows the limits of widespread voter fraud, he said. There was a new election in the North Carolina district after an operative for one of the candidates in the first was charged with harvesting absentee ballots.

“When people try to do absentee ballot fraud on a broad scale, it requires a large conspiracy or messing with people’s ballots ... in ways that people will realize,” Hasen said. “It is very hard for such efforts not to be detected, and with large penalties, too, it is unsurprising that absentee ballot tampering is rare.”

Voters in Hoboken are aware of the kind of shenanigans that can occur with mail-in ballots. Elected officials and candidates there griped for years that vote-by-mail fraud schemes operated in the open, but it wasn’t until 2018 that federal prosecutors first filed charges.

The investigation ensnared five people, including Democrat Frank “Pupa” Raia, a real estate developer with powerful political connections. Raia was convicted last year of overseeing a cash-for-votes operation that saw voters getting money in exchange for their mailed-in votes for specific local candidates or ballot initiatives.

Hoboken Councilwoman Tiffanie Fisher, a Democrat, said the pace of the Hoboken probe gives her pause when she thinks of the deluge of mail-in ballots New Jersey clerks must handle now.

“Given that it took so long to get a formal investigation into the alleged election fraud practices in Hoboken, it would surprise me if the state were prepared to handle that at a state level,” Fisher said.

Some of the election-related problems happening in 2020 flare up every time there is an election, but clerks say the sheer number of mail-in ballots this year magnifies the regular issues.

“I understand that the governor was trying to deal with a health crisis situation,” said Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon, a Republican. “However, the system is not set up to be able to handle these changes on a short-time basis. Our election system is not set up for an all-vote-by-mail election.”

Take the applications for mail-in ballots. Murphy required that every unaffiliated voter get one in advance of the primary. But some voters are confused and sending them back without declaring a party because they think the applications are for November’s races, clerks said.

Mary Melfi, the Republican Hunterdon County clerk, said she thinks Murphy should tell clerks by Aug. 1 at the latest if he plans to order that November’s election will be done by mail, too. The governor did not give clerks enough time to prepare for the May and July elections, even though some warned him on April 1, she said.

“I really don’t think he knew what he was doing,” Melfi said. “He never asked any of us.”

Murphy said Monday that he won’t make a decision on November’s election until after the July 7 primaries.

Election officials in Democratic counties were less likely to criticize the governor. Bergen County Clerk John Hogan said his Republican colleagues who don’t think this year’s elections have gone smoothly should think about “what the alternatives were.”
“Look at Florida, Texas, Arizona,” Hogan said. “They opened up the world, and now they have the virus spreading rapidly.”
But privately some Democratic officials grumble that Murphy should have talked to them before issuing any election-related orders.

“What a ... disaster this thing was,” one told NorthJersey.com and the USA TODAY Network New Jersey.

If Dem keep the House, take the Senate and the Presidency they will get rid of the filibuster and push thru nationwide mail-in voting and ballot harvesting.

Why are people freaking out about Aliens and outer space?

If the government knows something about aliens and shit, they should probably give us some time to recover from all this shit before they lay that on us.
