Seems pretty clear to me she said "Nakers" -- a slip of the tongue. She even tripped over her words leading into the offending word.

My guess is a non sports fan pressed into service and probably was unfamiliar with team name she was about to say. Almost like she was about to say "Knicks."

When you speak like that for a living, you are going to be on record making lots of tongue-ties and improper pronunciation. Seems like the benefit of the doubt is in order.
