Total arrogance.

Garrett has proven time and again he has issues handling momentum swings.
Yep and Jerry hasn’t learned or simply refuses to acknowledge that getting lucky in an oil buy by rolling the dice because you are flat broke really doesn’t have any damn correlation with football.

Scoring was so hard in those weather conditions. You get the ball near the endzone trailing by 7 with one more potential posession and the wind killing their offense. You shouldn't need analytics to know that should be 4 down territory. Worst case you fail and the Pats have the ball in their own endzone going a direction they can't pass the ball.
Funny how a Madden Xbox armchair nerd would figure out that even failing on 4th down leaves NE with terrible field position and punting into the wind with a damn good possibility of giving the Cowboys the ball back around the 50 if you can force a 3 and out.

It's the whole point of a walk around coach to think of that stuff. Like manage the game.

I’ve heard 3 media heads propping Richard for the HC gig.

No idea how he would be as a walk around coach. I imagine he would at least be more agressive and a better motivator. Not sure about the rest.
We should wait and see what dbair thinks abput Richard.

It's astonishing that basic decisions such as this somehow stump Garrett on almost a weekly basis. You're being paid $6M per year and have 15 years of NFL coaching experience under your belt, and you're struggling with basic decisions such as those?

I don't even think he is a capable coordinator. Got fired in Seattle and the longer he has been in Dallas, the shine is wearing dull. I would get if if the defense had not regressed like it has. He also seems comfortable in Dallas. He should have been screaming bloody murder to get a better alternative to Trysten Hill and he went right along with it.

Having an "aggressive" and "motivating" head coach is not exactly helping him with these personnel on his own team. So how does that translate to the head coaching job in this very same environment?

Yeah, don't bring those analytics up round here!

Those will just mess with Garrett's natural coaching abilities. He's got his hands in so many aspects of the game, that someone spouting percentages might make him miss a very important in-game adjustment. What if the offense is coming off the field after a failed 3rd &4 and this stat guy is shoving random odds and percentages Garrett's way? Is Tony Pollard's hand gonna ^5 itself? Is the OL going to feel that positive reinforcement of their HC's monotone hand clap/attaboys? We call it the Garrett Way, and you haters wouldn't understand what's being built here, because no one does.

Yeah I think Marinelli has been in his way with the DT stuff. But the DBs aren't great either.
I really was expecting more from the secondary this year. Seems like they've coached ball skills right out of Awuzie.

You're kidding, right? Unless somebody is at the level of Sean Payton, they wouldn't be an upgrade to Jason Garrett? GTFO.
This is basically the argument. No Sean Payton? No other potential Super Bowl coaches? Might as well stick with Garrett.

Which is why I don't understand why Kris Richard would be a head coaching candidate.

He should get an interview but he's not as hot of a HC commodity as i would have thought just a couple years ago.

I also like the strides kitna and moore are making with Dak, but want neither as the HC.

My bet is Jerry finds a defensive guy who'll retain the offensive coaches.
