We're a little better defensively than we were last year.

I really don't know what to expect from the Sooners' offense. The first two weeks they struggled passing the ball with Knight as the starting QB. Blake Bell started our last game and he looked very good.

I don't know if Bell's performance was an anomaly or if he's actually that good. We'll find out Saturday afternoon.

To be honest last year's game was closer than the final score. It was tied inside 10 minutes.

ND's defense is not playing like last year, although they did play better last week and their offense misses Golson. They'd like to run it, but with Rees at QB and not being able to get the ball downfield teams just put a bunch of guys in the box to stop the run. They did throw deep a bunch early last week to try and stretch the defense, but none were complete and they still couldn't run the ball.

We know Rees sucks, but out 3rd stringer Hendrix is worse. We had no shot to get a first down in second half. Defense came up big. Tuitt is finally playing like a first rounder the last few games. USC started 4 drives in ND territory in 2nd half, including one at 33 and another at the 34 and came up with no points. Then the last drive they get inside the 35 with over a minute left and come up with nothing. Ugly win. I'll take it. If Rees doesn't get hurt we would've added on another TD at least.

USC is ND's biggest rival so any time ND beats USC it's a good day. When USC was rolling under Carroll and they kicked our ass regularly they and their fans enjoyed every second of it. So I'll enjoy a W over a down USC team with Tommy Rees and Andrew Hendrix as our QB's.

Plus, it'll help with recruiting some. A ton of recruits were at the game last night.
