Defensive tackle signed

Aaron Wilson

September 24, 2013, 07:44 PM EST . .

The Miami Dolphins signed former New York Giants defensive tackle Marvin Austin,

Austin recently worked out for the Dolphins, Cincinnati Bengals, Kansas City Chiefs, Seattle Seahawks and Detroit Lions.

The Dolphins signed Austin as defensive tackle Vaughn Martin was placed on injured reserve and nose tackle Paul Soliai is dealing with a knee injury.

Austin was drafted in the second round of the 2011 NFL draft out of North Carolina.

Austin was released by the Giants during the final major roster cutdown.

Austin had eight tackles last season in eight games.

He was sidelined for his rookie season with a torn pectoral muscle.

I'd make a deal for Freeman for the right price.
Since Cleveland looks to start rebuilding all over again, I'd see if they'd be interested in a Miles Austin for Josh Gordon trade.

They could easily cut Miles in the offseason with no penalty.

I'm sure they want something for Gordon, not just to unload assets with no penalty.

They may be the Browns, but they are not stupid.

I don't know that he is better than Orton. I'd consider bringing him in after the season to replace Orton, but I think he will find a starting gig with someone like Arizone

Minn could use him and so could Tenn...those seem like good spots for him.
