I don't think even Jones would say he is a good GM. I think he would say I am the owner and I will not relinquish control of the team I have said it before but I just might take the same approach if I owned the DALLAS COWBOYS.
Thanks, Jerry apologist.

There is one thing to say you couldn't be the hands off owner but Jones' style emasculates everyone. It would be tough to replicate that.

Hey, lemme call all these other people I have met over the years, get their input and basically have no faith on the guys I hired to be here every day.

I would do the same but I would be a killer GM. I'd also probably step back from the other ownership duties a little and have someone else handle all the marketing and bullshit involved with that side of things.
Well then you'd have about the same success as Jerry.

I'd be involved too, but in a different way than Jones is.

For one, I'd hire a Bill Parcells and give him control. I might be at his side and in his ear the whole time, but if I had gone this long without success, I sure wouldn't be overruling him anymore.
You'd be a little better, but not much.

I'm basically saying I'd be tagging along, not making the decisions.
