No.That was a jab, I never thought Murray was OMG great. I think Tanner is better

Correct. Parcells for one was a big proponent of that. They have to try run plays even if they only manage 3 ypc. The run's effectiveness is not as important as making the attempt.
Actually, vision is something he's displayed quite well in his young career.
I didn't think he had much of it when he came out of school, but while he certainly has his limitations, I don't think vision is one of them.
Tanney will never make it to the practice squad. He will take over at age 32 when Romo retires. We must keep him on the roster no matter how impractical.Tanney is just awful. I don't get why people like him.
I'm not sure I see a way to keep both if they also love Matt Johnson.I would like to think that Heath's emergence means McCray goes away, but I doubt it.
Man. After Geno Smith's performance tonite, I'm not sure you can still say that. It was Quincy Carter-esque.Yep...that's why despite his struggles I'd still rather go with Geno Smith over Mark Sanchez.
At least with a young player there is the hope that he'll learn from his mistakes and improve.
Most weeks we can't overcome it, that's not agenda, it's fact.Exactly. But the fact that we are able to overcome the offensive line and still be pretty productive against a good defense doesn't fit Smitty's agenda, so...
Cue misplaced condescension from Geng, and I say misplaced, since he's wrong.Cue defensive response and slight of hand comment about the offensive line.
Some weeks it is impossible, you don't get the same opponent doing the same things every week. And yet we won and Romo passed for almost 300 yards. Harder to operate? Of course. Impossible? Uh no.
I would say it's correct if you aren't losing yardage as often as we do.Correct. Parcells for one was a big proponent of that.
I agree with you except for the assumption that our Oline will automatically be that bad at run blocking this year again. Even this horrific performance you claim against the Bengals didn't lead to many negative runs. It still led to 2 TDs in the first half against their starting unit.Normally you are correct, but our OL is so ridiculously bad at run blocking some weeks that you simply can't keep going back to it. Two runs to put you in 3rd and 6 is fine. Two runs to put you in third and 14 is drive over. The defense doesn't respect those loss of yardages. It puts you in situations where you must be one-dimensional anyway.
Agreed. It was pretty retarded to put Free at guard. That right side of the line was pretty horrid yesterday.Smith-Leary-Frederick-Bernadeau-Free
Lets see how that shakes out. Sucks Leary is banged up, needs playing time and line needs continuity, but I think this group will be a lot better than last year. I know that's not saying much, but we were on the brink of the playoffs with that horrific OL performance last year.
Don't like Free playing RG yesterday. If he's your RT then play him there. After last season he needs all the game time prep at RT he can get.
Made no sense to me either. If Free is your starting RT and Bernie is your starting RG then let the two play those positions and plug Arkin in at LG. Why the hell would you shuffle a bunch of guys around. This is the time these guys should be building continuity with each other but instead you are experimenting still. Experimenting is something you do at the begining of training camp, not a couple of weeks before the season starts.Agreed. It was pretty retarded to put Free at guard. That right side of the line was pretty horrid yesterday.
And yet, 14 points in the 1st half and moved the ball pretty well, and the thing that held us back more than anything was idiotic mistakes, especially on special teams.
It actually looked like pretty much the opposite. They got the sack on Romo early by running a pretty complicated blitz. Early on the Bengals looked like they were coming out as though it was a real game. Garrett on the other hand came out like he was trying to work on some different plays that Dallas doesn't run as often and generally kept things pretty bland. But I'm sure we were able to be successful against a very good Bengals defensive line because the Bengals were, um, doing other things and stuff.
I really hope they are at least considering replacing Bisaccia.Agreed. It was pretty retarded to put Free at guard. That right side of the line was pretty horrid yesterday.
