I got my heart ripped out yet again and he was a big part of the reason why. It will take time for me to recover from that. You are not a nice person.

You can only field a handful of effective 1st round picks at a time. You have to get lucky in later rounds or trades/pickups. Hence Mayowa, Lawrence, Gregory, Collins, and Tapper.Agreed, much like the way we used to look at the OL, we've ignored the DL for far too long. Drafting and ok Lawrence and a risk in Gregory was not enough. We need to go out and invest premium resources along the line
They've kinda coached scared in the playoffs, though they've also been snakebit.Illustrated further, over the past 3 seasons when either Romo or Prescott has started we are 28-7.
Garrett is doing something right.
That also corresponds to Linehan's hiring so there's that.
We are also 1-2 in the playoffs in that time. That's a pretty stark contrast.
Fuck Garrett.
He is fine when you leave him in the corner but not in games where you need to actually coach. I think he has shown that throughout the years. Its been 6 years and he still doesnt have time management down? He is going to cost us big games going forward and was one of the reasons we lost last week. I think what most people are looking at is the times where he has to make the decisions and not the regular season when others are doing the job.Too much undeserved Garrett hate. He is a better coach when let's folks do their job. That happened most of the season. Where the wheels came off was his fingerprints for the playoffs. The game plan was very typically Garrett with the ultra conservative schemes on both the offense I've and defensive side of the ball. The playoffs are not the time to go conservative. He did however back away most of the season. Hopefully he learned something because he will be around for a while.
Sort of depends on how big of flop. Do we win a couple games and then lose? Or is it one and done again.I think another flop in the playoffs next season would mean change in the
coaching department. Its not acceptable, the grace period for playoff losses is
over and done.
Next season will be an injury season of some kind. He'll keep his job.If we miss the playoffs or have another one and done, heads should be rolling.
Head coach or a scapegoat? If we miss the playoffs or have another one and done, heads should be rolling.
If Dallas is in the playoffs again but goes flat again it will be a goat because Garrett will get credit for a successful season.Head coach or a scapegoat?
Everyone.Head coach or a scapegoat?
I don't think we were that healthy this year. We just had a surprising amount of depth.Next season will be an injury season of some kind. He'll keep his job.
Relatively rare low injury seasons like this one are rare and of course, we botched it.
Well I could see a scapegoat if we dont win in the playoffs. Not that I agree with that (see the sig) but was just wondering what you thought the line would be.Everyone.
Yeah, I could see them let one guy go as a scapegoat. If I had to bet on their reaction to another one and done, I'd guess they stand pat with just about everyone.Well I could see a scapegoat if we dont win in the playoffs. Yea we were healthier in 2014.I don't think we were that healthy this year. We just had a surprising amount of depth.
Um, Romo got hurt for half the season. So by definition isn't that sort of Romo lile injury?Yea we were healthier in 2014.
I mean, our best CB over the first 5 or so games of the year basically missed the entire rest of the season, Church was out for like 5-6 weeks, Scandrick was out for several weeks, so was Dez, and Tyron missed two games I believe, not counting the final Eagles game.
Then of course there was the litany of DL injuries towards the end of the year that forced Maliek Collins and David Irving to basically play every snap of a meaningless game against the Eagles.
There were no 2015 Romo-like injuries of course but several critical starters missed games, including some of the very best players on the team.
