I'm still flabbergasted we were down 21-3.

Jordy Nelson out, Morgan Burnett out, essentially 2 weeks rest, at home, as healthy as any team can be...
Yep, both Crawfords starting, McClain, Wilson, Hitchens, Carr, Claiborne, Scandrick, Jones.

I'm pretty stunned it wasn't 28-3.

That's the way it is currently. Garrett doesn't have to be a Bellicek type to be successful. He just needs to surround himself with good assistants and let them do them do their job. He also needs to soak up the knowledge of the variety of input from them to broaden his own knowledge base.

His biggest problem in the past has been micromanaging and his expertise was too narrow. He or someone has changed that trend and the team has gotten better when the Quarterback position was up to speed.

The drafting trends with the organization has certainly improved so with everything considered Garrett can be a successful if these aspects of the organizarion continues the same trends.
His biggest problem is he doesn't know how to manage the damn clock. I can't even remember how many games we have lost because of that fact.

So do we know for sure if the spike was called for on the sideline or if that was Dak?

Garrett said in his presser that he made the call to spike it.

If that is his biggest problem, he can learn it in a relatively short time. He is an average coach but has good player personnel. If he stays (and I am sure he will) he can turn the corner on some of the

Another thing that continues to gnaw at me...

Packers stopped us on 3rd & 2 to stop our GW TD drive and we couldn't stop them on 3rd & 20 to prevent their GW.

He's been terrible at time management for years, he's improved slightly but still does dumb, confounding shit at times, such as that spike. Yea, he's gotten better, but any dimwit could get better given 6+ years. He just doesn't have the instincts or feel for it.

It's infuriating. Our two rookies brought this team back from 18 down on the biggest stage they have yet to see, and our idiot HC loses it for us yet again. Ridiculous.

If it's experience, we should've just kept Dave Campo as head coach. He would've had a six years experience advantage.

Actually that duty should go to the OC.
So, the OC is going to manage the game clock, as well? What is the point of having Garrett on the sidelines at all? :lol

training wheels. Jerry hired an unqualified coach and after 6 years he still doesn't have it.

none. He's not going to out-coach, out-scheme, out-smart or out-motivate anyone, at least not in the playoffs. But Jerry is comfortable so thats all that matters.

Some people that turn to coaching never have "it" and never will because some things just can't be taught.

Clock management and things such as when to call time outs have never been the RHG's strong suit and frankly, I don't know what his strong suit is other than a familiarity with a type of offense Dallas ran years and years ago that Jerry prefers.
