Having said that this loss is on Garrett and Linehan who both came up short in situational play calling, the pick on 3rd and 2 and the 3 straight passes on the 15 yard line were the most glaring examples.

They were being much too cute throughout the game IMO.

A team this young needs great coaching to make a run and Garrett let them down with his clock management again, he will always be a weak link in big games if you ask me.

With all of that said I am very proud of the Rookies, they never flinched and if Rodgers does not make to impossible plays in the last 3 we probabaly win this game.

Not fumbling on that sack and hitting that impossible throw to Cook just makes me think it was just not the year.

If I am the Cowboys I am selling out on defense like the Broncos did, JPP is a top priority a disrupter with attitude and most of the draft will be defense.
This almost dead on how I feel about the game.

Besides Rodgers, how many QBs trigger 12-men substitution penalties? How many of these situations have experienced QBs like Bledsoe, Cassell, Weeden and Romo caused?

You're saying Dak failed to do this because he's a rookie. So we will expect him to do this starting next season?
No I'm saying Rodgers has a lot going for him with the experience side and all things being equal sometimes the experience can make a difference.

Well now Dak has the experience. Glad we got that out of the way.

You missed the point. It was about Rodgers having a lot of tricks due to experience and how it allowed him to almost single handedly take over the game from the start. It's not about Dak.

The Cowboys saved the NFL’s ratings this season. The only downside for the television networks and the NFL is the Cowboys’ season has ended.

The Cowboys posted another huge rating, a 28.2 overnight for their 34-31 loss to the Green Bay Packers. That’s better than for Game 7 of the World Series, which had an overnight rating of 25.2 and drew more than 40 million viewers, and Game 7 of the NBA Finals, which drew an 18.9 overnight rating.

Fox reported that 48.522 million viewers tuned in, according to Nielsen Fast Nationals, making it the most-viewed divisional-round game in history. It is the most-watched telecast of any kind since last year’s Super Bowl.

The Cowboys had five of the six highest-rated games during the season, according to Sports Media watch, and averaged 23.7 million viewers the second half of the season, Bloomberg reported.

As an aside, I won't watch another down of football this year. I might cave and watch some of the SB, but as it stands right now, I'm not planning on it.

I didn't watch a down of the super bowl in 07 and I'm prepared to do it again depending on the matchup. If Pittsburgh makes it I'll have to watch since my wife is a fan.

I'd keep him. He's not perfect obviously, but I don't want to change Dak's coaching right now.
Better to change early in his career than later. If we are to change the coaching staff, the sooner the better.

If you were gonna replace Garrett, who would you target right now?
I have no idea. Garrett is okay as a walk around coach. He is just light on the broad brush football coaching style. He is too focused on doing things the way he is familiar with and tries to mold the team style around that. He doesn't seem to be able to assess his personel and develop a system to fit their strengths. In areas where he is weak such as the defenses he is ineffective helping the Coordinator. He just needs to spread out a little and look at different options.

Dear Lord, Garrett is not going anywhere. He may be the Coach of the Year. Please get real.
