Zero QBs have ever won their first Super Bowl in their 14th season. Four 2nd-year QBs have (Wilson, Roethlisberger, Warner, Brady).

Therefore, Romo's out.
Age alone dictates that Romo is the odd man out.

I love how you say Dak is different than Romo yet somehow the result isn't any better.
Dak had a playoff performance as a rookie that is arguably as good as any playoff performance that Romo ever had. It was quite literally the best playoff game from a rookie QB ever, perhaps equal to what Wilson did in Atlanta as a rookie. As far as Romo, 2014 Detroit is probably the only one on par, but I don't think Romo was as locked in during the 2014 Packer/2009 Eagle games as Prescott was today.

Although I'lll say the real reason I think this team is built better for the long haul than we were circa 2007 is because of the OL, which is clearly far superior to what we had then, but also just entering their primes. Not to mention Elliott/Dez is a better combo than old Owens/young Witten.

The defenses are mostly a draw, our defense back then was better but I don't think it'd take much as far as additions to meet or exceed the defenses of 2007-2009.

"In those situations when you make a first down, we believe you clock it there so you keep that timeout in your back pocket," Garrett said. "In that situation, we're trying to go down and score a touchdown, so you want to keep as much time on the clock as you can, and then, if the clock is going and you need a timeout to get yourself in field goal range, you have that one still available to you."

This game was quite similar to the 1994 NFCC. Gave up huge early lead, furious comeback but could never make that one extra play.

Redzone FG at end of half, INT in Packers territory, FG at end of game instead of TD, no fumble after Heath sack, can't stop 3rd and 20 to prevent GW FG try.

You're mocking me but I actually think there is truth in that.

And yet Dak as a rookie got us closer to the NFC championship then Romo ever did. It took the defense collapsing with 35 seconds left.

I would have loved to win too but this was a QB who played exceptional and a defense blowing it. Dak will have plenty more chances.

I wouldn't say Dak got us closer. Romo had a lead in the third quarter against the Pack in 2014. I'd call it a tie; of course your point remains.

I hate that I have to be on my way to work today. Today is a day to stay home and bury yourself in feel good movies and video games.

I hate that douche face Aaron Rodgers like no other. He is a whiney little bitch who always gets the calls. When's the last time you saw Dak bitching at the refs every other play about this or that? That dude just pisses me off.

Anyway, I'm ready for the offseason already. Screw the NFL playoffs.

I agree, he is on the top 3 biggest bitches in football. Brady (who kicked at a ref in the Texan game complains non stop), Edelman (who is a thug, bitch who needs his ass kicked) and Rodgers (the biggest whiner in the game) Yeah I am done watching football this year.

Can't say Dak outplayed Rodgers, either.
If you compare stats , Dak was on par with Rodgers. I was a matter of Rodgers made some plays that made the difference because his experience was called on to pull off things that aren't necessarily inclusive in ratings. Example being the hurry up play while Dallas was substituting. I don't think Dak would have triggered a situation like that because of his lack of experience. Other than the intangibles Dak performed as wall as Rodgers.

Aaron Rodgers beat us, straight up. I'm livid about how many perfect sideline catches they pulled off. Meanwhile Brice and Terrance are dropping perfectly delivered footballs.

The defense was supposed to make the difference here. Down their best receiver, while we were flush with DBs, we let them effortlessly score 3 straight TDs.

Doug Free can't be on this team anymore. That holding call in the first quarter killed us, he's done here. We need Leary to come back, Collins and Green should fight for RT.

If Dez gets lucky and stays healthy, this game should be an entry on his HOF reel. That time he intercepted the pass the Dunbar and rumbled it up the field was the coolest play of the game.

I feel like the 1st down on the 15 debacle was because the team REALLY wanted to get Witten his post season TD. I'm glad he eventually got it, but if we hand to Zeke 3 times in that situation, we wind up with 4 more points, I think the whole team would have been happier with 4 more points.

Our season started and ended with poor clock management.

Why the eff was McFadden not even given a chance. I swear to god, I don't think I'm all that smart, but it seems to me going empty backfield every time your RB gets tired is like showing your hand before the betting begins. McFadden made some plays during the season with very limited opportunities, God knows what he could have done when Capers is selling out to stop the pass.

Dak was amazing, but as much as penalties and WR drops hurt him, he got lucky with some throws, if they had starting quality DBs he probably would have been picked at least one more time.

Garrett must have been listening to Ravid, because this was a force it deep, fuck time of possession game plan. We can pass 7 times in a row, but rushing more than 3 times in a drive, that's crazy talk. We played for a shootout, and got what we asked for.

Besides Rodgers, how many QBs trigger 12-men substitution penalties? How many of these situations have experienced QBs like Bledsoe, Cassell, Weeden and Romo caused?

You're saying Dak failed to do this because he's a rookie. So we will expect him to do this starting next season?

You wouldn't say it because it isn't true. They both lost in the divisional round in their first full year as starters. Both were close games.

Anyone else notice Tyron Smith getting walked back into the pocket several times? Uncharacteristic of him.
