I have an Amazon account I just don't have Prime anymore. Had it for about a year back in 2012 but didn't use it enough to justify keeping it.

I used to keep Amazon for the free shipping at Christmas, but they are getting better with the TV option to make it worth it overall.

I buy from Amazon all year round so it's worth it for all the free shipping.

And as a gaming nerd, I really like how new games are 48 bucks instead of 60.
